Jenae
Jae began to lean in and I leaned back. "What're you doing?" I asked.
Jae paused before letting out a chuckle.
"I'll call you later Jenae." Jae said to me and then she walked away from me.
Was that attitude I sensed?

I went back to work after Jae left. Ms. Little was talking to June as I walked in.
"Aren't you Jae's friend?" She asked June. "She was just here a moment ago."
I quickly slipped past them and went to sit down as she asked, "During break?"
"Yeah. Don't you know?" Ms. Little laughs, "Jae and Jenae-" "-Ms. Little!" I butt in.
"What?" She looked at me and June glared daggers into my skull. She gasped, "Oh... I'm sorry. Maybe I shouldn't..."
I adverted my gaze away from Ms. Little and June blurted, "I need to talk to you."
"I'm working." I said simply.
"Just for a second. Let's talk." She insisted. I let out a sigh and walked out with her. June followed behind me.
I let out another sigh as I turned to face her. "What you got to say?" I mutter.
"You said so many times that you didn't feel that way about Jae," June growled. "And now you two are suddenly dating?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Back then I really didn'tlike her but things change and happen." I shrugged.
"I'm not even going to get angry at you." June said and I looked up at her. "I just... have something to tell you." She said.
I gave her a look to continue.
"Well..." She begins, "As you know... I don't like you." She said and I let out a groan but she says, "Let me finish..."
"Go ahead," I grumble and she took a breath before she continued. "I haven't liked you since high school because I was annoyed when I lost my top spot in class to a freshman like you at the time. But now in college I even lost my girl to you. Do you understand?" She explained.
