Looking down the hole, my breath hitches. It's a large drop, over what seems to be a thousand feet. Heart beating fast, I raise my arms out. This is it. It'll work this time. I have to get back to them. The barrier has to let me through. Closing my eyes, I think of them. All of my friends. And I know this time they will remember me. If they don't I'll keep trying till they do. Slowly, I begin to tip forward, my feet leaving the edge. My hair is pushed back the wind as I fall into the place. The light begins to fade as I curl into a ball, bracing myself for impact. Suddenly, a familiar black crosses over my eyes.

My eyes flutter open as I look at the all too familiar. Did I make it back? Is this really the place? Turning, golden flowers tickle my nose. This place is just as warm and inviting as I remember. Starting to sit up, I rub my eyes. Glancing around, I pull my bag toward myself. Everything is still in here, nothing broken. Getting up, I walk over to the door at the end of the hall. Breathe in, breathe out. The knob was cold and the door was heavy as I pushed it open. His eyes land on me.

"Frisk," he says, a smile growing on him.

He remembers. This is good.

"I'm surprised you would come back after all that," he says. Walking over, I bend down and glare at him. "They might not remember you know that right?" he says. "That's why your back, right? I haven't seen them since, so they probably don't," he says, laughing. So much of me want to slaughter him, but I know what would happen if I did that. Chara, she is a good example of this.

"It must be a nice day above ground," I hear Toriel say in the distance. She walks through the door and my heart begins to beat quickly. This is the true test. It's time so see. She looks around before our eyes meet. Time almost seems to stop as something unreadable flashes over her eyes. Hearing my heartbeat in my ears, I slowly back away. "Fr-Frisk?" she asks me, reaching out. Everything stops.

She remembered.

Nodding, she slaps her hand over her mouth. Tears stream down her cheeks as I move toward her. Part of me is afraid it's another dream; the other part knows it's real. After so many years, after so much fighting, I'm finally home. Back where I belong. She wraps me in a hug, spinning me around.

"Oh, Frisk! I'm so happy to see you again! Where have you been you silly girl?! Oh, my, everyone will want to know!" she says excitedly, frantically pulling herself from me and glancing around. Putting my arms out, I try to calm her. She sees them and takes a deep breath.

"I want to tell them in my own way," I sign. She nods and we begin making our way through the ruins. The puzzles come back to me as we navigate our way through the spikes and froggits. The air is cooler now down here, ever since she permanently opened the door. It tickles as I pause, swinging my bag in front of me. Toriel watches as I dig through it until I pull out my bomber jacket. Sliding it on, we continue. Soon enough we reach her quaint little house. She waits for me, my hand hesitating on the door knob.

"Go on," Toriel says, resting her hand on my shoulder like she used to, all those years ago. Strange, how things never seem to change down here. Slowly, I begin to open it. The familiar creaking rings in my ears as I push on it. Heart racing, the moment seems to last a year until it finally gives. Once it does, I open my eyes.

Just like you remember.

"Anyways, I was thinking that since Sans and Papyrus wher- Oh hey, Toriel," Undyne says, turning to us. Alphys was standing in front of her. She turns to look at us, her eyes widening. Undyne seems to take a moment to process the situation.

"Fr-Fr-" Alphys starts.

"PUNK!" Undyne yells, running over and tackling me. She squeezes hard, enough to take all the air out of me. Alphys runs over, jumping on me also. Sobs come from all around me as Undyne refuses to let go. Finally, they do, allowing me to breath. "Where the hell have you been?!" Undyne cries, tears still flowing from her eyes.
