When I woke up it was about 6:30 AM. Paige was fast asleep. I went downstairs to have some breakfast. "Hi Laura, did you sleep well?" asked my mom. "Yes thank you for asking!" I said. "I'm making chocolate chip pancakes do you want some?" Mom said. "Yes please!" I replied. Is gymnastics cancelled? I asked. "Yes it is!" She said.
About twenty minutes later Paige came down stairs. My mom also gave her pancakes. When she was done eating, we went upstairs and got dressed. I put on a plain gray long sleeve shirt and a flower print skirt. Then I put on my golden converse shoes and fishtailed my hair. To top of my look off I put on a black bow necklace.
Paige was wearing a black long sleeve shirt that had in bold white words SELFIE written on it. She had on turquoise jeans and turquoise converse. Her hair was in a perfectly neat bun.
*Three hours later*
It was still raining outside, so we had to stay inside. We were really bored so I asked my mom if she could take us to the movies or something. She asked us what movie we wanted to watch. We told her we wanted to see Dream On. It was about a girl who wasn't good enough to make it in the Olympics but two years later she comes back and wins a gold medal. My mom said that sounded like a good movie and to get ready because we are going in about 20-30 minutes.
We are on the way to the movie theater but we are stopping to get some treats. You're not allowed to bring food into movie theaters unless it's food you bought from the theater. So we hide our candy in our purse.
I realized that I really wanted to go in to the Olympics more than ever now. I wanted to win a gold medal. And you know what? That's what I'm going to do!!!
