My mom asked me if I would rather go back to gym or just go home and get rest. I told her I wanted to go home she nodded her head and said, "I understand." "What do you mean?" I asked. "When I was 14, I was doing my Giants on bar and I fell off and broke my collarbone." She said. "Did you ever do gymnastics again?" I asked. "Nope, I was to scared of hurting myself agian." Mom replied. "But you were the one who told me to never give up!" I said. "I told you that because I didn't want you to make the same mistake as I did." She said
I looked out my window, we were home. Mom opened my door and helped me out of the car. "Do you need help carrying anything upstairs?" She asked "No thanks." I said.
I sat my Gymnastics bag down in my room and got out my pack of 45 gel pens a pencil and paper. I started to draw a gymnast doing a handstand.
When I was done drawing, I got a call from Paige. "Hey Laura!" She said. "Hi." I replied. "Soooo, is it true you got thirteen stitches? "Yep, but the worst part isn't the stitches it's the crutches. I can't even really walk on my foot!" I said. After about 20 minutes, I heard talking in the background. "Laura I have to go but, please get better soon!" Paige said. "Ok, see ya!"
*One day later*
Every day I had to take antibiotics for my foot. Today I was going to gymnastics but I probably wouldn't do some events because of my foot.
We started out with bars. I could jump to high bar, but I decided to just stay on the lower bars today. Gianna let me do bars the whole time because I couldn't do floor, vault, or beam.My foot started to really hurt so Gianna gave me permission to call my mom. "Hi Honey, what's going on?" She asked "My foot hurts really, really bad." "Ok I'll come pick you up!" She replied.
When Mom's car pulled up, Gianna handed me my crutches and walked outside with me to talk to my mom. "I don't think she will want to come tomorrow we are conditioning." Gianna said. "Ok, thanks Gianna!" Mom said. "Take care!" Gianna said.
"So when did your foot start hurting?" Asked mom. About a half an hour ago. I thought it was just sore a little but it got to hurting worse. "I'm sorry! We will stop by the store and get some soup how does that sound?" "Good!" I replied.
