The music started. I ran across the floor into a leap, my foot almost touched my head. I did a couple of arm and leg movements then I ran to the other side jumped as high as I could into a front aerial. I sprang backwards into a backhand spring back tuck. I did a couple more arm and leg movements. Then I did an aerial and front handspring. I landed in the finishing pose, everyone clapped and I ran off the floor.
''That was amazing!'' said Paige.
''Thanks.'' I replied. Ashley waved me over. I was really nervous because I thought I did good in my routine. I wanted to pretend like I didn't see her, but I knew that Ashley would know I saw her. I walked towards her. I knew exactly what she was going to say. LAURA, THAT STEP AFTER YOUR BACK TUCK WILL COST YOU A DEDUCTION ON YOUR SCORE!
But that is not even close to the words that she said. ''Laura, that routine you just did, could qualify for a level eight performance!'' ''What do you mean you made that routine up for me?'' I said. ''No, Jane the other coach did, she told me it was going to be a difficult routine but I never knew it was going to be that difficult! And you pulled it off!!!'' Today I will see how you scored, and tomorrow I will see if you are ready to train with the level eight gymnasts. ''Really?!'' I said. ''When have I ever Pranked you?'' Ashley said. I thanked Ashley and ran to my other team members. ''What was that all about?'' Said Paige. I decided I would tell Paige later. ''She just told me she was impressed.'' ''Oh ok.'' She said.
