*ARIELLE*
A little ray of light comes through the door of the room.
Defensively, I wrap my arms around my stomach.
"I see you haven't touched the nice bed I fixed up for you." David's disgusting voice breaks the silence as he comes in.
"I wouldn't sleep on that piece of shit if this floor was on fire." I spit.
He laughs and shakes his head. "I could kill you right now and you don't even seem worried."
This time, my laughter fills the room. "David, this isn't the first time you've kidnapped me. Speaking of, how did you manage to fake your own death?"
His face goes blank and hurt flashes through his eyes. "Your mother. She protected me and lied to everyone."
"Why? If she thought you were innocent and you just happened to 'find' me."
"I told her I did it. She put me in a mental hospital and came to visit almost every week." He laughs viciously.
Rage fills my body. She knew it was him and still tried to protect him.
"So she lied." I smile. "She was just as psychotic as you then."
A harsh slap hits my cheek and before I can react, I'm yanked off the floor.
David grabs my neck ad slams me up against the wall.
I immediately cover up my small baby bump.
Please God, don't let him hurt my baby.
"You're a stupid bitch you know that? Your mother was a wonderful woman, it was all you. She told me she hated you. When she came to see me after you moved in with that pathetic piece of shit boyfriend of yours, she told me you made her life miserable. She was happy you were gone. She was hoping you were dead."
His grip on my neck tightens. "Not only did you take my daughter's life, but you made my wife's life a wreck until she dies. I'm going to enjoy taking your life now."
He pulls a knife from his back pocket and rubs it against my stomach. "Oh, and that worthless child of yours."
The knife moves from my stomach to my cheek.
The door slams open and all I can see is Ryan.
He found me.
"Let her go now!" He shouts.
David laughs and drops me to the floor, harshly. "You're stupid, boy."
He lunges at Ryan quickly with the knife.
Ryan dodges him and a tall figure grabs David's shirt.
The figure takes him down and repeatedly beats him.
"Elle!" Ryan pulls me into his arms tightly. "I'm so happy I found you."
"Me too." I smile at him.
"We don't have much time he's still breathing."A familiar voice fills the room and my heart stops.
"Jace." I whisper.
"Come here, baby." He cries and wraps me into his embrace. "I missed you so much."
Tears of happiness fall down my face.
We stay like that for a moment until a loud gunshot bangs through the room.
We both turn to see David sitting with the gun in his hand and a smile on his face.
Ryan faces us and looks down.
The hole in his shirt is bleeding.
He smiles and falls to the ground.
"You bastard!" Jace screams and charges after him and grabs his neck.
While Jace is strangling him, I quickly grab the gun.
"Jace stop." He looks at me with a confused look and then looks at the gun.
He backs away and tried to take the gun.
"No." I tell him.
I wiped the blood from the cut on my cheek and pointed the gun at David.
His eyes follow the barrel as I press it to his temple.
"You shot my best friend and threatened to kill my baby." I cock the gun and he flinches. "Go to hell."
I pull the trigger and watch his body fall limp to the ground.
I throw the gun to the ground and run over to Ryan.
"Hey, Elle." He smiles and wipes my tears. "It'll be okay."
"Please don't leave me." I whisper.
"It's too late, babe." He strokes my cheek.
I lean down and kiss him gently.
"We were always going to say goodbye weren't we?" He frowns.
"Yeah, I think so." I cry.
"I loved you though." He laughs softly. "I loved you so much."
"I know." I nod my head. "I know. I love you too."
"You're going to be an amazing mother." He whispers. He turns to Jace and smiles. "You take care of her."
"I will." Jace sobs.
"It's at my house in my nightstand." Ryan tells him with a knowing look. "Love you, man."
"You too." Jace sobs.
Ryan looks at me once more and closes his eyes.
