Two weeks later, the babies and I are home. Both Ryleigh and Rylan are fine, healthy babies. We've learned they have a very weird connection. It's like they can feel each other's emotions. If one is happy, so is the other. If one is upset or sad, so is the other. In a way it's so amazing, but I'm sure it's not going to be when one is awake crying in the middle of the night.
Jace has been so busy with work. He's changing the business from Wilder Enterprises to Wilder Enterprises and Architectural. He and a team have been finishing a house they've been working on. It's their first job in architecture and he's really excited about it.
Emma just turned three this past week and had a huge party.
Layla and Seth just bought a house and Layla got a modeling contract. Camryn and Caiden moved to Italy and are expecting a baby.
It seems like life is finally good.
Hopefully nothing pops out at us and makes it bad again.
I fix the babies their bottles and Emma runs up to me and wraps around my leg.
"Mama, me have cookie?" She looks up at me with a pouty face.
I laugh and shake my head. "Not until after dinner, baby."
She huffs and runs back in the living room.
I give feed the babies and hear Jace come in.
"Daddy!" Emma screams.
"Hi, baby." He says with a smile evident in his voice. "Did you have a good day with mama?"
I hear her loudly huff. "Well I was. She said I can't have no cookie."
"Why not?" He laughs.
"Cause I have to eat dinner first." She whines.
"Well, if that's what mama says, then you have to listen." He comes in the kitchen and smiles at me.
He kisses my forehead and kisses the twins.
"Well," Emma huffs again and crawls in the chair. "What do daddy say?"
He laughs and runs his hand through his hair. "Daddy says no if mama says no."
She frowns and runs off.
"Hi, baby." He smiles at me. "How were they today?"
I smile and take his tie off. "They were great. Little miss daddy's girl is not happy to have to share us though."
He laughs deeply. "I can imagine."
I giggle and we take the twins to the nursery.
"I have something to show you tomorrow." He grabs my waist as we enter our room.
I grin and unbutton his shirt. "Why don't you show me something tonight?"
He gives me a challenging look. "I can do that too."
"Ah!" I giggle as he tosses me onto the bed.
I wake up the next day and we all get ready to go to Jace's 'surprise'.
It takes about an hour to get to where were going.
Jace smiles at me and turns into the driveway of a beautiful, blue, two-story house.
He turns the car off and faces me.
He smiles and pulls out a little blue box from Tiffany & Co., "Arielle, we've been through so much in so little of time. I love you so much and I don't want to spend my life with anyone else in the world. Just me, you, and our kids. I want to start this new life with you."
Tears fill my eyes and I giggle.
"Arielle Marie Crawford, would you do me the honor of moving into our new house together?"He grins. He opens the box to reveal a house key.
I laugh. "Of course!"
