Strength Testing (ep. 22)

"Alright, yesterday everyone got a free day to do nothing."

Jynx came around the corner in her usual black and mesh clothing. She had her hair twisted and wrapped into a loose bun. She had hair strewn about her face as if she was in a hurry.

Thorn sat up interested and watched her carefully. He folded up his sheet of paper he was writing and tucked it into his pocket, "Where have you been?"

Shiru giggled and sat back stretching before she kicked her legs over her head and tossing herself over backwards. She stood up and went over to Rose who was sitting outside brushing her hair, "Hey, Sensei is back. You should come on in."

Thorn smirked and looked up, "She thinks that she did something to deserve to die the other day. She's still kind of shook up from when you two were attacked."

Shiru walked back to the couch and rolled her eyes, "Dramatic little baby is all I see..."

"Well, I would've like to be able to see you in action Sensei," Thorn smirked and tucked away his collapsible pen.

Jynx pulled out some sheet and scattered them on the table. "Tomorrow," she held up some papers and rearranged them thinking diligently, "Tomorrow we will be getting our new guests. The children will be living in the rooms back past the kitchen."

"Children? What on Earth do you mean?" Shiru was inspecting a kunai as she listened to Jynx confused at Jynx's words.

Jynx smiled happily and ordered names into three and a group of two. "There will be five more students here. Well not exact students, but more or less. They want to learn, but their villages won't let them do much because they are orphans... They have all been approved to transfer to the leaf village. Three girls and two boys."

Thorn stood up and patted out his pants, "So, you're telling me that we're going to have more women here than men still?"

Shiru scoffed and shot a sarcastic glare at Thorn, "You're just jealous that women always reign over men."

"Guys, enough. They are all minorly younger than you. The oldest is nine. The youngest is almost two."

Rose stepped in shyly and let her hair fall to each side as if she was going to put them into their original pig-tails. Her part down the middle was kept a zig-zag from how her clan kept their hair as well. "So are we going to be in a way baby sitting, too?"

"No way in hell I'm going to be caught baby sitting for some spoiled ass kids," Shiru threw up her hands in anger and kept her kunai tight in her fist. "This is all just ridiculously overrated."

"That's about enough..." Jynx gave Shiru a dead look and narrowed her eyes. "You're not baby sitting. These kids need actual homes. Things that their dead parents can't do. You should know the feeling Shiru. Now quit." Jynx smiled and patted her hips. "Well, while we wait... You all are going to learn some centering of the chakras and learn to keep your balance. This will later on help you self seal away chakra making people who can read your chakra think you are just a lowly commoner. It's not that hard. Most people still think that most of my chakra is gone from when they found me. The few who actually do know that I can do this never underestimate me. I can output only as much as I feel I should. In the long run it can save you from using all your chakra early on in the heat of any battle."

"How do you know not many people know about this?" Thorn crumpled his brows together in major confusion.

"You heard mainly when we first met. They don't consider me much of a great threat because they think I'm weak with little to no chakra. But in depth, most of mine is sealed up hidden away. They barely know I can use my sharingan still, despite the pain it causes me trying to use it normally anymore. I'm keeping it that way as well. They don't need to know about me still able to use those eyes. That was my full first kekkei genkai, they really think that would be the one they can seal away first and hide? Pathetic my own team would think of that. But alas, we need to get started on you guys trying it."
