A/N: There's some POV (Point of View) changes in this chapter but after this the POV will only change at the start of a chapter. Also usually the chapters will be out earlier. Time changes are the worst.
Matt POV
I was going to my first day of a new school in a new town. I was getting ready for school when Nate woke up suddenly, rushing to get dressed and eat. "What's the rush?" I asked the Tiny.
"I don't want to still be in my pajamas when we leave," Nate answered like it was obvious.
"Nate, we talked about this. You can't go to school. There are actual Giants there, way bigger than me," I explained gently.
"I'll miss you!"
"I'll miss you too buddy," I hugged the Tiny and set him onto the table. I grabbed my backpack and left, not noticing as Nate got into the side pocket.
I walked to the public bus stop with not much time to spare. The bus arrived and I got on, paid my fare, and sat down for the ride to where the two sides of town meet.
Nate POV
Matt said that I couldn't come, but he'll miss me. We hugged and as Matt left, I jumped into the side pocket of his bag, the netting making it easy to stay secured. Matt walked to a place and got onto a big vehicle he's told me about called a Public Transit. I think that's what it's called. He sat down and I stayed put in my side of the bag.
My hands shot over my ears barely a second later.
The Public Transit is loud. I'm not even talking about the people on it, (even though they are) but the vehicle itself. Swish the doors opened. Plink went coins as they went into a slot. Clunk went the machinery of the bus, especially when the bus started or stopped. Beep went these random buttons people were pressing. The worst part was this monotone voice announcing the stops.
Eventually, Matt got off the bus, and I had a giant headache.
Matt POV
I got off the bus and walked a little further to the school. Giants were there, but there was an equal amount of Humans. I went to the office and got my schedule and locker information. I put my backpack in my locker, removed my binder that I needed, and then went to my first class.
Nate POV
The campus was SO LOUD. Giants are super loud. Do they know that? Matt put the backpack in a locker and took his binder out before promptly closing the door, leaving me in complete and total darkness. When the bell rang for the first class, my ears rang and I cried.
Matt POV
My first class was English, where I sat at a Human desk on top of a Giant desk of a Giant named Felix, who took me under his wing after the teacher made him. My next two classes were Science and Math, and then it was lunch. I went to my locker to put my binder away and there was a small sound coming from my locker.
It was probably too quiet for a Giant to hear, since I could barely hear it.
"Hey Matt, you ready?" Felix asked me. I realized I had just been standing on his palm, not doing anything. I hopped off his palm, unlocked my locker and put my binder away. I gasped."Nate!"
