Nate POV

Every time my ears recovered from the bell ringing, another one would ring. My face was wet and when Matt opened the locker I ran straight to him.

"Nate!" Matt gasped.

"Matt," I hugged him by the bottom of his shirt. He picked me up.

"What are you doing here?"

"Um..." luckily, someone else spoke. Not luckily, it was going to make me go deaf. (Yes, I did put earplugs in.)

"What are you doing?"

"I have a Tiny who I thought I left at home, but apparently he sneaked into my bag or something," Matt explained.

"Can you see him?" he asked the Giant. A gigantic eye came and looked at me. I curled into a ball.

"Yeah, I can sort of see him. All he can see is my eye, probably," an unfamiliar voice said in a weird accent. I covered my ears and started humming to try and drown them out.

Matt and the Giant walked into a room with a bunch of bookshelves and computers, went over to a table and sat down. Matt put me down on the table. I uncurled my body from a ball and stared at the Giant.

"Nate, this is Felix," Matt spoke gently.

"Felix, this is Nate."

"Nice to meet you, Nate," a GIGANTIC finger came into my view. It was at least five times bigger than Matt's whole body!

"N-n-nice to meet you," I 'shook hands' with the finger like how I do with Matt and other humans.

"Hey Felix, Matt, you comin'?" another voice spoke.

"Hi Jack. We're, um...a little busy..." "Whoa! Is that a Tiny?!" a Human with green hair and blue eyes looked at me.

"...yeah," Matt sighed. I sat down and started rocking back and forward, my ears were covered but I could still hear the conversation perfectly.

"Y'know ya cont bring Tinies, right?"

"Yeah. I thought I left him at home, but he probably sneaked into my bag and I didn't notice!"

"Now what do we do?"

"I'm gonna have some lunch. I'll be back later," Felix left and a couple major earthquakes occurred for me.

"Felix was probably way  too loud for him..." Matt realized.

"Jack, this is Nate. Nate, Jack." Matt took the opportunity to introduce the Human to me.

"Nice to meet ya," Jack said, sticking out a finger.

"Nice to meet you," I shook it. "Can you still hear everything okay?" Jack asked.

"I've had a huge headache all day and my ears ring every time the bell rings but I can still hear," I assured them. Matt looked at Jack and then at me.

"Hey Jack, does the bus from here to the Human part of town go during lunch?" Matt asked.

"I t'ink so. Hwy?"

"I'm gonna get Nate home," Matt decided. I realized that would mean taking the Public Transit again.

"I don't want to," I blurted out.

"It's really loud and scary and I don't want to..."

"It's also really loud here. I don't want you to get lost, squished, or lose your hearing," Matt explained.

"If you were at home, I would know you were safe," he reasoned.

"...just for today can I stay here?" "Okay. Just for today," Matt repeated.

"I have a Tiny," Jack spoke.

"She's named Samantha."

"What does she do when you're gone?"

"Either she gets sleep because I'm so loud or she does drawings and colouring and watches videos, stuff like that," Jack answered.

"All alone?" I asked.

"Yeh. If ya want ye can come over later an' meet her," Jack offered. I looked at Matt and then realized Jack had asked me."S-sure."
After school, Jack came by with Matt and we went right to Jack's house. The Public Transit was louder than it had been in the morning. We were some of the last people off. I was on Matt's shoulder as he followed Jack up to the door and Jack opened the door.
