I Will Come Back To Life, But Only For You

A/N this is based on a song by Panic! At The Disco called "The Calendar".

Sophie's POV

     You said if you don't let it out, you're gonna let it eat you away.

     I had felt so weak, about a year ago, after the downfall of the Neverseen. Keefe had been hurt terribly. I sat by his bed crying for days, weeks even. Bullhorn had been screaming for weeks, and had eventually laid down at Keefe's side. I was in pain, the boy I loved was gone, all because he had been wrapped up in my life.

     I'd rather be a cannibal baby, animals like me don't talk anyway.

     I hadn't told him I loved him. How could I? There was too much going on, too many distractions. We had to be focused. I couldn't handle the  rejection, or the pain that would come with it. This is so much worse.

     Put another 'X' on the calendar, summer's on it's deathbed. There is simply nothing worse than knowing how it ends.

     If Keefe died because of her... How was she supposed to live with the guilt? She could already feel herself breaking. The only elf in the world strong enough to heal a broken mind, wasn't strong enough to bite back her own grief and guilt. She wasn't strong enough to hang on. She wasn't strong enough for Keefe.

     And I meant everything I said that night. I will come back to life, but only for you. 

     "Sophie." Keefe says in a choked, raspy voice.

     "Yes Keefe?" I manage to say through a sob. It was the first time he had said a word, and it was my name. He looked on the verge of death, and it was so hard not to break down.

     "I love you Sophie. And I promise. I will stay. For you." He then falls back asleep, and Bullhorn jumps off his bed screaming again. Elwin rushes into the room, flustered, and proud. He then runs around feeding Keefe about a million elixirs.

      You said if you don't let it out, you're gonna let it eat you away.

     Through all the chaos I whisper, "I love you too, Keefe."

     With that, I live his side for the first time in a long time, stronger. Keefe is going to be fine. And I will be stronger for him.

     I will come back to life, but only for you. Only for you.

A/N It's much better than it was before, because it had a really cheesy ending. This is not as cheesy, and much better writing quality. It's also about 150 words longer, which is surprising, as it is still horribly short. Thank you for reading, and upvotes are appreciated!
