Marry Me?

Sophie's POV

"Sophie Foster, would you marry me?"

With this question I'm sent into a spiral of memories. Happy, sad, painful, all of them. My most favorite were the ones from childhood.

The first day meeting him. I had just been to Elementalism and I was trying to find the healing center, when I run into a very good looking boy. You could already tell he was popular, messed up (but perfect) blonde hair and ice-blue eyes that could melt any girl's heart- but I didn't know it yet. He had walked me to the healing center and he had made sure I made it safely to Elwin's. He had immediately called me his friend only knowing me for about a few minutes.

When I found out he was Fitz's friend and had a sinking feeling in my gut, but not knowing why.

The first time we had played Base Quest and he insisted that I was 'mysterious'.

The first time he had dubbed our team (the unstoppable) Foster-Keefe.

Our ride on Silveny to the Black Swan. He was so close with his arms wrapped around my waist leaning over my shoulder making my heart switch to hummingbird mode. Him promising me that he'd never let anything harm me - which he's lived up to - and whispering reassuring things in my ear.

That day we had decided to send the Black Swan our own note, and we had chased each other to the house, throwing sand and laughing the whole way. He had spent forever helping me clean out Edaline's office checking the caves every five minutes.

The days we started getting closer as friends during Alden's mind break, working on the solution.

The first time I had invited him over to my house. "It's a date Foster!"

After the council issued my circlet, he had told me it was cool. He reassured that nothing would ever make him leave me.

The time we were working in Edaline's office and we had picked up the wedding decorations and I had commented on how beautiful it would have been. He had told me that he'd save the wedding planning for his wedding for the lucky bride-to-be. He had said something about giant spiders. When he mentioned his lucky bride, he had winked at me, doing a wiggly dance until I threw a pillow at him.

When I had decided to join the Black Swan he wouldn't let me leave without him.

When we thought his mother might be dead he didn't want to be alone. He had asked me to stay and cried on my shoulder.

When we were with the Black Swan Fitz had said that Sophitz would be unstoppable. He had just shrugged it off and said, "Team Foster-Keefe will always be cooler."

When I had decided to trust Tam and Linh, the only reason he put up with them (mostly Tam) was because he wanted me to know he trusted me.

He was the only one not phased by Linh's ability, having only eyes for me.

On our way to the Black Swan we had to put on human disguises. He was wearing a batman t-shirt and had said something about him being my hero any day.

Our window sleepover (the first one). We hated the fact of being alone, so we opened our window and slept across from each other. Separated but not alone.

Right before he went to the Neverseen he was going to kiss me, until Grady ruined it.

"Please don't hate me." "I could never hate you."

When I had followed him he gave me a necklace, with a rescue bead. "Trust me".

Tam claiming we had nightly flirt sessions. I couldn't deny it without my cheeks heating up.

"You can ignore it all you want Foster but someday you'll need to solve the triangle. Or should I get real and call it a square?"

The day he came to find me after the Peace Summit. All I could feel was pure relief, and maybe a little but of love... Shhhh.

Fitz was going to kiss me but (thankfully) he interrupted. And man he did not look happy. Either of them actually. He had an eyebrow raised but his expression looked anything but joking.

I even remembered the little things like all the times he had called me Foster, and all the times I was on his team for Base Quest.

The times he's called me the Mysterious Miss F.

The times he's called me cute and has played the Make Foster Blush game.

I remember all the times he's just been plain adorable... Which were a lot.

I finally give my obvious answer

"Yes!!"

I was going to marry my true love, Keefe Sencen.
