Your POV:
One week. That's how long you've been at the castle, without sans or papyrus. They were a bit skeptical about letting you stay, but, let's just say that the king was a very persuasive person. However, you missed them. You stayed at your grandfather's invitation, he said something about you taking on royal duties and needing training. Your uncle was also staying at the castle, it was his home after all, and some much needed bonding time between him and his father was in order.
It was Monday morning, which meant you had lessons with your uncle on normal royal duties, like speaking with subjects about their problems. You wanted to stay in bed till noon, but that was no longer allowed. You were starting to think this whole princess thing was no fun, but you had to put up with it, this was your life now.
"Princess (Y/n)! Time to wake up for training." One of the guards knocked on your door. You rolled over and put a pillow over your head.
Fifteen minutes later, someone else knocked on your door. "(Y/n)! Wake up, you're late!" You didn't answer them, so they opened the door and came over to your bed. "(Y/n), I thought I sent a guard here to wake you up!" It was your uncle. "Fine, if you don't want to wake up then I'll just tell sans and papyrus to go home and-" you sat up so quickly you almost fell off the bed.
"SANS IS HERE!?!" You squealed.
"Yes, but if you don't get ready now, you won't have time to visit with them." Your uncle explained.
You got up out of bed and opened your closet. Now that you lived at the castle, you had to wear a dress, not because you wanted to, but because it was what princesses wore. But that didn't stop you from wearing sweatpants and a hoodie on weekends. You looked through your closet for a few minutes trying to find something you didn't hate, so nothing sparkly and nothing pink.
"There's nothing casual in here!" You complained.
"Why don't you let me pick something?" Your uncle suggested.
"Sure, go nuts! But nothing pink and sparkly!" You warned him.
It only took him a minute to find something half decent, and it was black, so it wasn't horrible.
"How about this?" He asked you, holding up the black dress.
"Well....I don't totally hate it, and its black, so I guess this'll do." You took the dress and your uncle left the room so you could change.
10 minutes later!
You walked down the hallway towards the throne room where sans and papyrus were waiting, you were so excited to see them, it'd been a whole week since you saw them last. When you opened the doors you saw them standing on the other side of the room.
"SANS! PAPYRUS!" You ran over to them and gave them a hug.
"(Y/N)! I missed you sweetheart!" Sans hugged you back.
"(Y/n), its good to see you again!" Papyrus also hugged back.
Papyrus let go but sans just kept hugging you harder.
"S-sans...need....air!" You gasped.
"Uhh oops, sorry..." He apologized.
"Its ok, just warn me next time you give me another bone crushing hug." You laughed, and so did sans.
Just then, a royal guardsmen burst through the door out of breath.
"YOUR HIGHNESS! Something is headed towards the castle and is leaving a trail of fire wherever it walks!"
"Hmm, fire you say? Thank you, I'll go check it out." You waved him off.
"Would you like us to accompany you?" Papyrus asked.
"Sure, but let me do the talking." You began walking to the front doors of the castle.
You, sans and papyrus waited at the front gate for whoever or whatever was coming, and when it got there, you were more than just surprised.
"T- TORIEL?!" You took a step towards her.
"Hello (y/n), how have you been?" She calmly asked you.
"I've been fine, but...what are you doing here? I thought you never left the ruins?" You were a mix of surprised and confused.
"Well dear, I finally decided to leave the ruins for two reasons. 1, to see you again, and 2, to see my ex husband." She crossed her arms.
"Your ex? Isn't your ex Asgore, Tori?" Sans spoke up.
"Oh sans, nice to finally meet you in person. You're shorter than I thought you'd be." She laughed.
You took a step back and processed the conversation Toriel and sans were having. Sans and Toriel have never met in person, and she was...your grandfathers ex. So that meant she was your...
"Toriel, are you my...grandma?" You questioned in a quiet voice.
"Oh right, I probably should have mentioned that a few minutes ago. Yes, I'm your grandmother." She smiled.
"Wow I-" you were interrupted by your grandfather and uncle.
"Toriel? What are you doing here!?" Your grandfather asked.
"M-mom?" Your uncle slowed his pace.
"Hello Gory, and hello- ASRIEL?!!!" She ran up and hugged him. "My baby!!! How can this be?" She cried.
"Hi mom! I'm back!" Your uncle hugged her back. Toriel turned to Asgore with tears in her eyes.
"Our son is back...our family," she looked over at you. "Our WHOLE family, is together again."
"D- does this mean...you want to get back together?" Your grandpa smiled slightly. She nodded.
Your grandpa scooped your grandma up in a hug and soon after, grabbed you and Asriel as well. You motioned for sans and papyrus to come join in on the group hug, but they refused.
"Alright then, if you won't come to us, I'll bring you here myself!" You used your magic to pull them over into your warm embrace. "See, that wasn't so hard!" You giggled.
"Alright everyone, let's go inside! We have much to discuss and catch up on." Everyone followed your grandpa into the castle.
You all sat down in the dinning room and had lunch while talking about the events of the past few months, and it was mostly about you. Your uncle had his family back together, plus three new members, you, sans and papyrus. Everyone was happy, but the story wasn't over yet.
(A/n) hello readers, the book is almost over! One more chapter to go. But, if you want a sequel, then comment and tell me so. If people don't tell me what they want then I won't know what to make for them! Thanks for reading!
