Freak out ch. 13

Chapter 13: Freak Out

"Wait wait wait! Hold on... He did what?" Liz smiled from the computer screen.

"He started dancing with her. C'mon Liz keep up!" Tohru said impatiently from her room.

"I heard her, Tohru. I just wanted her to repeat it, duh", Liz rolled her eyes.

"Anyway what happened after that?"

"He took me outside and then we started watching the stars on the grass", I smiled at the memory.

Both Liz and Tohru squealed in delight. They were obviously happy for me and the opportunity I had. My heart always beat fast whenever I think of the memory so I did what any girl what do: I squealed with my friends.

"So do you think he likes you?" Tohru was the first to recover from the minor freak out session.

"Well obviously he likes her! I mean dancing? Watching the stars? Buying her a necklace? C'mon if those aren't signs I don't know what is!" Liz looked at me excitedly.

"Well those could've been signs of friendship. I still don't want to come to any conclusions yet".

"Roma, are you serious?" Liz looked at me dumbfounded. "He bought you a necklace and he went to the dance just for you! Sounds romantic to me".

"Maybe", I mused to myself.

"You should set up a date with him".

"Eh? Tohru I can't just do that!"

She shrugged her shoulders and smiled. "Sure you can! It just takes courage. And anyway, it's pretty obvious he would say yes so just ask".

"Tohru's right girl" Liz nodded her head. "You really should- "

Suddenly Liz's brother's voice rung over her voice

"LIZ! FOOD'S READY!"

She rolled her eyes. "Ugh, I gotta go now".

"Yeah I should probably leave too. I have a ton of homework to do", Tohru chimed in.

"Okay then, bye", I waved at the camera.

"Bye!"

Beep

The call ended and silence took over my room once again. The sunlight streamed in through the windows and suddenly my eyes caught sight of my phone lying on the table. I thought back to what Tohru had said:

"You should set up a date with him"

I shook my head. It was crazy to try to ask him to go out anywhere with me, but still a part of my head thought it wasn't a bad idea; the crazy part of my head.

Before I knew it, I was grasping the phone in my hand, thinking about calling Cameron. He had given me his number on the night of the Bash before he left.

I dialed his numbers and heard the corresponding beeps.

Then I pressed call.

I sat on my bed with my heart nervously pounding in my chest.

This is crazy! What am I doing?

It felt like eternity before I heard a click at the other end of the line.

"Hello?"

Omigosh

"Um... Hi? Cameron?" I squeaked out nervously.

"Yeah?"

"Oh! Umm... Hi. This is Roma".

I couldn't see his face but I knew he was smiling on the other end of the line.
