Maya's POV:
I scrambled out of the room, sprinting across the driveway. "I'm late!"
"Good luck, little sis!" my brother, Duke, shouted after me.
I leapt over a bench- then crashed right into someone. "Sorry!"
"Don't be," the male said. "Where are you headed in such a rush?"
"The exam to enter Duel Academy," I said, panting.
The male smiled. "That's just what I thought!"
Where had I seen him? It hit me. This was Yugi Muto, the King of Games!
Yugi smiled. "Here, take this. Use it in your exam."
I stared at the card in my hand. "What? Tartarus Plunge?"
I quickly turned to thank him, but he was already gone. Well, that's Yugi for you.
Amber's POV:
I sat next to a kid with blue hair and glasses. "Hello!" I said brightly.
He smiled a bit. "Hiya," he replied. "Have you tested yet? I have, and I'm super nervous. Do you think you'll get in?"
I nodded. "I'm thinking of dueling professionally after graduation!"
The guy smiled. "I'm Syrus Truesdale. Nice to meet you."
"Amber," I said with a smile.
Just then, the speaker came on. "Amber, to the duel area please."
I jumped to my feet. "Alright! Wish me luck!"
Syrus shot me a thumbs up.
-Several minutes previously (dun dun duuunnn!)-
Chazz's POV:
Dr. Crawler walked up to me and sat down. "Chazz," he said. "Do you know something rather interesting?"
I shrugged. "What?"
"There is a girl here who is trying to attend on scholarship only!" Crawler exclaimed. "If she gets in, she doesn't have to pay tuition because she's homeless!"
"That's insane!" I exclaimed. "Can I duel her, and show her who really attends Duel Academy?"
"I was counting on it," Crawler said with a smirk.

Amber's POV:
I stepped onto the platform, standing near the wall. A man with blond hair and purple lipstick beckoned me forward.
"Amber! Today your opponent will be Chazz Princeton. I hope for a fair duel!"
I handed Chazz my deck and he shuffled it. I did the same to his. "You ready to lose?" he asked.
