Amber's POV:

I walked up to the doors of North Academy, hoping everyone back at Duel Academy was missing me. I'd gotten into a fight with Bastion, so I left the academy for a bit to clear my head.

"Chazz has been doing what?" Bastion exclaimed.

"Nothing! I swear he-" I started.

"Nothing my eye! I've seen him do what he's done."

"He's gone now, so does it matter?"

"To administration it does!"

"Oh shut it, Limey!"

"Obnoxious Obelisk!"

"Loser!"

"Princeton!"

"That. Was. Low."

"Fine!" Bastion exclaimed. "I'll keep my mouth shut, but don't come crying to me if he comes back and goes any further!"

"Fine!"

So here I was. I hoped Lex and Ash would be okay.

With forty cards in my duel disk, I trotted up to the door and it opened.

Soon, I found myself taking on several students at a time to get up to the top. Finally, there was just the big guy with furs.

"Direct attack, Dark Magician Girl!"

"Noooo!" The guy shouted, his LP meter hitting zero.

-again, time skip-

"New guy!" A dude shouted as someone trotted in the door.

"Stay inside till we need you," one of the students said, shoving me into the dorm.

I had to wait until the guy had beaten literally everyone else before stepping out. "You still have to beat out top student. She's hard to get past as well."

"Wait, she?"

Why does that voice sound familiar?

In a second I had my answer. As I stepped out and said, "That's pretty sexist," I saw the new student.

Da fudge chocolate brownie?

The new guy turned around and my eyes met his. "Amber?" he said, his eyes widening.

"Chazz Princeton?" I stuttered.

"You know this guy?" the head prof said.

"Know him? Oh yeah, I know him."

My feet moved without control. I sprinted up to Chazz and actually hugged him. "Oh my Ra you have no idea how good it is to see you!" I exclaimed.

Chazz stumbled back and muttered, "Who spiked your food?"

I rolled my eyes. "Chazz-"

"I'm leaving. For good." Chazz told me.

"What? Why?" I screamed.

"I thought you'd be happy to see me go," Chazz muttered.

"Well, the truth is-" I started.

"Wait- Amber- I'm sorry."

Huh?

"I'm sorry. I realize I was kind of controlling, and I don't want you to get hurt. I was jealous, okay? And if you can forgive me-"

I threw my arms around his neck and kissed him.

"Chazz, I happen to be one of the most forgiving people you'll ever meet."

Chazz gratefully kissed me back, but picked up his bag. "I have to go. Hold onto your heart, we'll see each other again, I'm sure of it."

"Really?"

"I promise."

Chazz walked back up to me and gently kissed me. "I kept my promise," he said.

"Awwwwwwwwwwwww!!" all the other students exclaimed.

"You mean you're staying?" Maya said.

"Chillax, Mayster, I'm sure they are!" Jaden said, taking Maya's hand.

"What did we miss?" I asked, giggling.

"One matter left," Banner said.

"Huh?" Chazz and I said in unison.

"Since you two left, and are just now transferring back, you are technically new students. Which means you must start from the bottom, and work your way up. Slifer Red, of course."

"SLIFER?!?"

"We will get you two fitted for blazers as soon as we get back. And find you roommates."

"No way, the Chazz rooms alone. Got that?" Chazz hissed.

"Do cockroaches count?" Syrus said, grinning.

"Say what?" I screamed.

"The dorm has few," Jaden chuckled.

"And a couple rats!" Maya added.

"Rats?" I shrieked, jumping into Chazz's arms.

"I changed my mind! Turn the sub around!" Chazz screamed.

"Hey guys, let's give them the Slifer cheer!" Jaden exclaimed.

"NO!" Chazz and I shouted.

"S! L! I! F! E!"

"Can we just stick with Chazz it up?"

"OR SLIFER IT UP!"

"My new family's already disfunctional!" Chazz moaned.

Everyone laughed. "Well, I can't say this won't be interesting!" I exclaimed.
