~Twelve~

Maya's POV:

Jaden has disappeared again. Seriously, I need to keep that boy on a close leash.

Syrus, Chazz, Chumley, Amber and I searched around for a bit before Sy, Amber and I got caught in a whirlpool.

"I got ya Sy!" Chumley shouted, diving right for the whirlpool.

"Hand on, Amber!" Chazz added, grabbing his girlfriend's hand.

I meanwhile floundered around before the whirlpool caught us all and sent us under.

We surfaced in a cavern where a lot of monsters were staring at us. I scrambled over to Jaden and hugged him. "Go off like that again and I'll kill you, girlfriend or not."

Jaden nodded. "Sorry. I was following Winged Kuriboh."

I sighed. "You'd follow him off a cliff."

He shrugged.

"Hey, does anyone even know where we are?" Amber said.

"I believe I can answer that."

A guy wearing a long white coat and a dragon-like helmet appeared, activating his duel disk. "We've brought you here to test your skills, Jaden."

"They're all duel spirits!" I realized.

"Hey, it's Dez Koala!" Chumley said.

What sort of world had we fallen into?

Jaden accepted the challenge, and the duel commenced.

-and le time skip because writing duels isn't my strong suit-

"Oh no!" I shouted, rushing up to Jaden. "You okay, Jay?"

Jaden nodded, laughing. "That was fun!"

"But how do we get home?" Syrus asked.

"You should ask that of Winged Kuriboh. After all, he's the one who brought you here," Kaibaman said before departing.

"So how do we get home, Kuriboh?" Jaden asked.

Kuriboh made his cute Kuriboh noises.

"Oh, we just close our eyes and wish for it?"

"Lame," Chazz muttered.

Amber locked her hand in his and closed her eyes, Chazz sighing and following suit.

All of us did the same, sending us back to the real world.

When we got back to the dorm, Jaden and I sat up against my bed, shuffling our decks.

"Oh man, today was cool!" Jaden exclaimed.

I shrugged. "I guess so. I just assumed we had a break." I clutched my Spirit Lock, watching out the window.

The Slifer chuckled. "We'll never have a break. Dueling is what we do."
