Fancy Tuna

"What are you still doing here?!" Her father growled at Lucy as she was ready to leave for school. "I am about to go." She said with a smile. Her father has changed. He started drinking and became more angry toward her. However, she doesn't think any less of her father. She still loves him. And he's only like this due to grief. Ever since Layla died when Lucy was only six, Jude has started drinking.
Lucy had never gone to school before. This would be her first day. She didn't go before because she was afraid of her father doing something that could hurt himself. However, she knows she can't protect him forever. Besides, she has always dreamed of going to school, so she gets to now. "I am so nervous" Lucy mumbled to herself as she hung on tightly to her brown stash/handbag that hung diagonally over her chest. She held the strap toward the bottom of her bag. She noticed the school and a couple of students running through the gate. Gulping, Lucy continued to walk. "So...this is Fairy Tail High."

Lucy's POV
"Welcome! Everyone, we have a new student joining us." I gulped as my fingers didn't remove from the bag. I stared at everyone in front of me. "Hi." I shyly smiled while giving a wave. "I'm Lucy." Some people waved back while others just smiled. The teacher gestured me to sit in the seat next to a pink haired kid. Highly unusual. I don't think I've ever seen a kid with colored hair. Maybe he dyed it.
I stared at the ground while quickly walking to that seat, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. "Hey." The pink haired guy leaned in and whispered. I jerked up and turned my head to see him smiling. "So your new here?" Smirking, he leaned back in his chair. I nodded. "Well welcome to Fairy Tail!" I smiled in thanks as the teacher began his lesson.

I quietly swerved through the crowds in the lunchroom, while holding a brown paper bag in my hand. I sighed in relief once I was outside, away from everyone. I headed toward a small tree that shaded the grass. The wind shook the leaves as orange and red swam through the sky. My hair blew back and I headed to the grass and sat my back against the sharp wood. I rummaged through my paper bag and took out some fancy Tuna and a bag of Lays chips along with a fruit flavored caprisun. I took the lid off the fancy tuna and placed it under. I grabbed a plastic fork from my bag and put it in the food. I brought the fork up to my lips, however was interrupted when footsteps approached just inches away from me. I looked up from my food and stared at a girl with dark blonde hair and a vine green sweater crop top. She has vine green jeans to match it. "Yeah?" I asked, confused of the girl's motives for coming over here.
"Rumor has it that your the new girl." I nodded, placing my food on top of my brown bag. "Yeah. So?" I asked. She put a hand on her hip. "Well don't start thinking your gonna make any friends."
My eyes widened in surprise. "What are you talking about?" My eyes narrowed as a queasy feeling entered my stomach. "I rule this school. People worship me." Her eyes glistened directly above me as she put her other hand above her chest. I scoffed, "don't you mean cower in fear?" She darted her eyes toward me, which sent shivers down my spine. "Your treading on dangerous waters, missy!" She performed the cliché hair flip and strutted off into the distance. I sighed, letting all my tenseness slip out. "I'm sure I just dug my own grave." A sweat dropped from my forehead and I picked my lunch back up and placed it on my lap once more. I picked up my fork and took a bite out of my fancy tuna. Moaning at the delightful taste, I devoured a second one. I licked my lips as someone started to block my shade. "What do you want, now?" I growled, removing my eyes from my food and toward the person- who I assumed was the girl. However, it wasn't. "Feisty." The guy from earlier stood above me with his hands in his pocket. "Oh! I-I'm sorry! I thought you were someone else." He sighed and took a seat next to me. I scooted over in discomfort. "It's okay. I saw the whole thing."
"So your stalking me?" I frowned, taking another bite out of my food. His eyes widened and his face turned red as he looked at me. "No! It's not like that!" He waved his arms out in front of him. I laughed, "no need to get worked up. I was only joking." He relaxed his muscles as I laughed at his panic attack. He put his back toward the tree again as he looked straight ahead. "That girl. Who was she?" I asked, taking my straw from my caprisun and inserting it into the small hole at the top.
His head turned toward me once more. "Who?" I literally face palmed myself. "The girl that was talking to me before you came over here." I took a sip from my drink. "Oh her? Her name is Michelle. However, she wants everyone to refer to her as Imitatia." He rolled his eyes. "Well, do you call her Imitatia?" I scratched my head. He 'pffted' and shook his head, "I don't take orders from anyone."
Chuckling, I joked, "okay tough guy" I added emphasis on the words "tough guy." He groaned. "Is that fancy tuna?" His lips watered as he glared at my food. Hesitant, I replied, "uh y-yea?" I glanced from the food and looked at his focus on it. "Uh you want to have the rest?" He looked up at me with a joyful expression. "You sure?" I nodded, handing him the tray. He licked his lips and said thank you before scoffing the rest of the food down his throat. I took out my bag of chips and started eating them. "So does Mr. Tough Guy have a name?" I asked, after swallowing down the salty chip. I reached in the bag to grab another one and started munching on it. He slurped down the last bite of the tuna and licked his lips. "I'm Natsu." A wide grinned formed across his face. Natsu. What an odd name.
"You have an odd name." I pointed out blankly, leaving him dumb founded. I quickly covered my mouth with my hands. "I'm so sorry." I slowly rested my hands from my mouth to my lap. He laughed, "no worries!" I eased down, as the wind scraped my face. "Well I'm Lucy."
"I know." Oh yea. He was in my first class. We sat there, enjoying the breeze and serenity. I turned my head to him. "Hey did you dye your hair pink? Or is that natural?" He thought a minute, "I believe it's natural."
"You believe?" I questioned at his unsurity[A/N- yes I made up my own word. Deal with it. Unsurity- Unsure ity] He nodded. I sighed. "Lunch is about to be over and I have to head to my locker still." I got up, wiping the grass off my dark purple shorts that were over a pair of leggings. I had on a black hoodie with a white eighth (🎵) note dispersing with rainbow sparkles. I picked up my paper bag lunch along with my caprisun. "Okay." He replied with and I headed off, leaving him to throw out the fancy tuna.

I headed to my locker. I put in the combination. I removed my bag from around my shoulders and placed it on the ground. I unbuckled the latch, allowing me to grab my new English text book which I received earlier today. I placed it in my locker and closed my bag up. I shut the door and started walking to class. Then...

THUD!

[A/N- So I wasn't planning on making this first person, but I already started writing it in first person and I didn't realize it until I was halfway through. I guess it's because I prefer writing in first person. So I'm just gonna leave it!]
