Five years later

I walked up the steps to enter the building. Hand in hand with my love. We entered the building and went to the front desk.

"Cho." I said. The lady pointed down the hall and we both walked to the room. I gripped the others hand tightly as I braced myself to walk into the room. I took a deep breath and walked in. There, laying on the bed motionless, was my dear Cho Kyuhyun. I tried not to form tears from my eyes. I let go of the hand and went to his side. I bent down so I could level with him.

"This really happened." I teared up. "Our story did turn out like Donghae and Hyukjae." I let my tears fall and I felt warm arms wrap around me.

"He'll be better appa..." Sun His assured me. I wiped my tears and hugged her.

"When will you tell me how this happened?" she asked. I looked at her and squatted on the ground so I could meet her eyes.

"Do you want me to tell you now?" I asked her. She nodded her head and I sat down on the edge of the bed.

Five years ago - back on the roof

It wasn't my heart beating. It was actually footsteps. As she pulled the trigger I closed my eyes, preparing for impact. I heard a shriek. I opened my eyes and saw Kyuhyun laying there, blood everywhere. I stared at him with wide eyes and fell to the ground next to him.

"K-Kyuhyun...?" I whispered. He smiled at me and touched my cheek. I watched as Kyuhyuns eyes slowly closed and his breathing slowed down. I wiped my tears and looked back at the woman who stood in shock.

"I-I" she started to say but didn't continue on. She had the expression of shock and confusion.

"I-I didn't mean to actually shoot! I was going to shoot over to the side and then he jumped! I didn't think he would come to save you! I just wanted to scare you off. Where did he even come from?" she started crying herself and backed away slowly, trying to make her escape from the scene. I stood up and ran to her, grabbing her wrist and gripping tightly. She looked at me with tear filled eyes.

"S-Sungmin...that hurts....let go..." she cried. I was mute, so I just gave her a dark stare. She started to squirm in annoyance and looked as if she were going to scream.

"I-Im s-sorry..." she finally said. I loosened my grip a bit.

"It wasn't my intention to hurt anyone! I swear! I'm going to turn myself in. Just please, please don't take Sun Hi away." she pleaded. I still kept my gaze the same. I slowly let my hand fall to my sides and she wiped her tears. She bowed and left. I turned and ran back to Kyuhyun who had blood all over his chest.

"Kyu, you'll be okay... promise me you'll stay alive." I whispered to him. He let out a short chuckle.

"That'll be a promise that I might break..." he said slowly before his eyes closed tightly once again.

I dialed the ambulance and they came immediately. I sat down on the curb of the street, waiting for all of this shit to end. I felt a tap on the shoulder and I turned slightly.

"Sir?" the police officer said. "We found a child in one of the floors. She claims her name is Sun Hi and her dad is Sungmin and Kyuhyun. Are you Sungmin?" he asked. I nodded and he yelled something to the other people. I turned my head back to the street and felt tiny hands on my shoulder. I looked up and saw my dear Sun Hi. I hugged her tightly, not wanting her to let go.

"Appa, where's Kyu appa?" she asked with her small voice.

"He's in that car over there." I pointed at the ambulance and she nodded.

"Where is he going?" she asked once more.

"I don't know." I lied so she wouldn't be too afraid.

Present time

I wiped my tears as I told her everything. She didn't have any change of emotion when I told her all of this.

"Where did my mother go?" she asked.

"I believe she went to prison." I answered quickly. She nodded in understanding. I stood up and kissed Kyuhyun on the head. I pushed his hair back and looked at how peaceful he looked while sleeping. I felt her hand grip my arm.

"He'll be fine. You should rest." she said to me.

"Oh please, I've been resting for five years. I think I can manage... Are you hungry? Shall we eat?" I tried to change the subject and make the mood better. She nodded and I have her money to go buy us some food. She left the room happily and I watched. I saw a woman enter the room and she stood in front of me.

"It's been a while..." she said. I stared at her blankly, she didn't seem familiar. I felt as if I knew her, but I didn't know her.
