I couldn't sleep at night knowing that Sun His 'friend' was telling her these things that a five year old shouldn't know. I didn't know when they talked. It's only been three days and I was afraid if leaving the house. I was afraid of leaving Sun Hi out of my sight. At least today was a Sunday, or else I would've panicked like I did on Friday when she went to school. Kyuhyun always calmed me down but massaging me. Sometimes the massages led to more sex which calmed me down more than usual. It made me happy that at least Kyuhyun wasn't pissed off at me.
Sun Hi sat in front of me, drawing as usual.
"Sun Hi, can I ask you something?" I asked her. She nodded.
"When do you talk to your friend?"
"He tells me things during recess. I leave the playground and go to where the cars live. He's always there. He tells me everything." she responded. This sounded like it was coming from a horror film.
"What does he look like?" I asked quietly.
"I don't know. He's always wearing black and he covers his face." I stayed silent. Trying to think of everything that she just told me. It was hard to process this. My thoughts were interrupted by Kyuhyun entering the house from work.
"Oh, you're home already?" I said quietly. He smiled brightly and nodded. He walked over to me and kissed me.
"Go take a breath outside. It's nice and you need a break. I'll keep her in my watch. Don't you worry." he smiled and I nodded. I listened to his instructions and went outside. I thought this would be a good opportunity to go by some groceries and such. I started the car and left the house.
~
I was out of the house for about an hour, it seemed like a reasonable amount of time. I drove towards home. There were firetrucks all driving the sand direction as me. I counted three. I didn't really care where they were going, as long as it wasn't my house and everyone was okay. As I got closer to my house. I saw a big orange flame. I know I was quite far from some houses, but damn that's a bad fire. I got closer and my heart nearly stopped. The firetrucks were in my neighborhood, the big orange flame was coming from my house. I parked the car and ran to my house.
"What happened?" I screamed.
"Are you the owner of this house?" a firefighter asked me.
"My husband is also the owner." I responded back.
"Is everyone out? Please tell me they are all out!" I felt tears filling my eyes
"Excuse me, sir, what are you talking about?" he asked.
"My husband and daughter was in the house this whole time!" I yelled, tears went down my face.
"No one was found." he said. I dropped to the ground and cried. I covered my face and tried to stop but couldn't. If he was going to take Sun Hi somewhere, he wouldn't texted me. He didn't text nor call, that's what made me cry.
I don't know how long I cried, but when I looked up, the fire was gone. Everyone evacuated the area too. I was left alone. I stood up and walked towards my house. Everything was in there, now everything burned down. How did this happen?
I walked up the steps and looked down. There was a piece of paper sticking out from under the 'welcome' mat. I lifted the mat up and my blood boiled. I couldn't describe my anger. There, laying on the ground, were the folders of the people I have to kill. I picked them up and looked through them once again. This time, Luhans folder was gone. Other people were also taken out since I was left with two folders. I opened the first one and the picture of the man was circled in red. When I opened the other folder, nothing was circled or anything. Was this a trick? Was I suppose to go to the guy in Canada first? Does that mean I didn't have to kill that Zi Tao? I fell to the ground once again.
"Oh my god." I tried breathing slowly. My phone rang.
"H-hello?" I stammered.
{You got my message, huh?} the familiar voice said.
"Ye-yes. Where's my family?"
{Don't worry, they're fine. Go to a Starbucks, the one where you saw Taeyeon.} the man hung up and I dropped my phone. I hoped it would crack, it didn't which was disappointing. My phone rang again.
"Stop calling!" I yelled into the phone.
{Cho Sungmin? This is my first time calling.} a female voice said.
"Oh I'm very sorry. Who is this?"
{This is Linda, Sun His' teacher. I just wanted to inform you that Kyuhyun and Sun Hi are at the SM building. Kyuhyun said that he left his phone in the car so he couldn't call and tell you.} I felt a tear roll down my cheek.
"They're okay, right?"
{Of course! Do you need a ride here? Oh and Kyuhyun asked if you can get him some coffee.}
"I can get it don't worry. I'll be there in maybe thirty minutes." I hung up and sighed in relief. At least the teacher has everything under control.
~
I sat in the Starbucks and waited for whoever I had to wait for this time.
"Sungmin, right?" I looked up at the child who said it. I nodded. She was unfamiliar looking, plus she was obviously a foreigner. I have to admit her Korean was good though. Why is there so many people in China speaking to me in Korean?
She took a seat in front of me.
"I'm Taeyeon unnies friend." she said. I nodded once again.
"What do you want?"
"You have to go to Canada, to get the job done. Whatever this job is." she said. Another thing that stuck out to me was her hair. It was half shaved and where the was hair, it was dyed red. Unless red was her natural color.
"Do you not know what's going on?" I asked the girl. She shook her head.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Juliana. Look, we don't need to know each other's names and such. I just came to deliver that message. I just want to continue my school trip." she snapped.
"How old are you?" I felt awkward asking but I had to know.
"Eighteen here. In America I'm seventeen." she shrugged.
"You came here just to deliver this message. I feel like I shouldn't say this but I should. If you need something, like anything, just call." I grabbed her phone, that she has been holding the whole time, and put my contact in.
"Anything. A car ride, food, anything." I smiled and she gave me a weird look and walked away.
I needed her to get closer to Taeyeon, she knows whoever this man is and I need him dead instead of that Canadian.
