She has a face carved from marble
I hear a voice every time I walk by
It's screaming and crying
Begging for help

I look into those eyes
Delicate glass
With a cluttered mind
I've lost myself within this puzzle

She took one look and walked right up
Now all I see is a retreating figure
Those screams get quieter
And my soul aches longer

I am watching a woman
Who's got everyone near
But no ones close
Can I walk through all this smoke

She's protecting something special
Under all this armor
All these cracks add to a masterpiece
Created by herself for her

I just want to break it all away
But I lost my place
Now I'm twenty people back
And all I can blame is myself
