I believe you loved who I was
Who you all saw
Even when the signs pointed another way.
When I started walking this path
You all disappeared
And I got scared, pushing everyone away
Not sure who to trust
Finding it difficult when I didn't trust myself
But with time things heal
And with space I learn to cope.
This is who I am.
I'm going to inject happiness every week
My voice will drop
My chest is going to disappear over night
My body will hold scars
And my head will be held high
Because I finally know who I am.
