How could you blame me?
You were an angel
With imperfections that I couldn't see
Or perhaps wished to remain ignorant of
Holding a smirk that told everyone to run
Except me
Frozen as prey meets predator
Foolishly,
I walked forward
Embracing the arms length I was kept at
Hopeless as our eyes met
Sparkling stormy grey would be my downfall
But it was too late for me to realize
I was only your next toy
To be played with
Until you found yourself bored
While to me,
You were a savior
A ray of light that held promise to a future
I would never see
