Sometimes I can't help it
The hope rises in my chest
And lifts the corners of my mouth up
Against my will
I look at you and this feeling fills me
But then you leave
And this hollow ache resides in my heart
There's a heavy weight on my shoulders
And it's all my fault
I'm pushing you away
With the promise that I'm bad
Because look at me now
Hurting both of us
