*Tick* *Tick* *Tick*The only sound in the high ceilinged room was the steady counting of the clock. The dull repetitive clicking of its hands only strengthened the silence between us.
I stared at him, as he stared at a book. A strand of his messy black hair fell loosely across his forehead. My hands itched to push it back.
"Are you...mad at me?" I asked quietly.
Silence.
"If you're gonna be a bitch about it I'll just leave." I said, offended that I was being ignored.
"I'm thinking Allie." He replied after another pause. "And yes, I am mad at you."
"For...?" I left my open question floating in the air.
"For nearly kissing my brother."
"Ok hold on just one second, you know that was like at least 80% his fault. He was pulling some weird demon shit on me."
"I am aware."
"But you're still mad at me?" I accused.
"Quite." He replied, eyes not shifting from his book.
"And here I was thinking Leviathan was supposed to be the jealous one, Mr Lusty pants."
"...Mr Lusty pants?" He repeated, scratching his chin to hide a smile.
"You heard me. And as if you can be mad at me." I continued, crossing my arms "I'm the one with the haunted jewellery stuck to my neck, the 'do what I say necklace', the 'I command thee Allie' pendant. You have no right to be mad at me. Because I am mad at you." I turned my head away from him, grumbling like a child that had been denied ice-cream.
I heard him laugh quietly and felt myself being lifted from my seat. Before I could even register the movement I found myself on his lap, at the other side of the desk. He picked up his book again and resumed his reading.
"Should I patent it under that name?" he teased me.
"No I think you should fucking remove it."
"It's not as easy as that." He mumbled.
"Maybe I will take Leviathan up on his offer. He's much more of a gentleman."
Asmodeus's brows knitted together "I think that would be a very bad idea." he said.
"Why is that then?"
"Because I would have to kill him if you did that."
"Stop being such a drama queen." I laughed, punching his chest lightly.
"Did you just hit me?" His eyes lit up suddenly, red and orange flames shimmered around his pupils and a wicked smile graced his features.
"Yes...?"
He put the book down.
Oh shit
Are you going to apologise?
I'll think about it. I replied brazenly, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't trying to taunt him into action, although with him being the 'Prince of Lust' it didn't exactly take much.
He sighed deeply, a look of false hurt plastered on his face. "First you kiss my brother, then you-"
I cut him off by pulling his face down to mine, his eyes widened a fraction in surprise as I kissed him. They settled determinedly and he deepened the kiss. I twisted my hands through his hair, dislodging more locks to join the first one, then shifted my legs around so that I was straddling his lap. He put his hands on my waist, pulling me closer. I could feel his pants getting tighter underneath me by the second and I smiled against his lips as he casually squeezed my butt like a horny teenage boy.
Filthy old man. I thought at him.
You don't know the half of it. He thought back.
I started to move over the top of him, grinding on the tight fabric beneath me. He groaned sexily, leaning his forehead against mine and moving his hips to meet me. I had him riiiight where I wanted him.
Just a little moore...that ought to do it
I stood suddenly, untwining my hands from his hair and stepping away. I walked back around the desk and sat on my chair, casually leaning back and picking up Bridget Jones's Diary, before resuming chapter twelve.
I looked at him from the corner of my eye. He sat, with his bottom lip jutting out just a little, was he...pouting? God that's sexy. I thought. No no, stay focused Allie, head in the game, head in the game. I snapped my eyes back down to the page determinedly.
"Allie." He stated.
"Yes?"
There was no reply. I sighed and put the book on my lap. "What is it dear?" I asked sweetly. He clenched his jaw. I don't think I've ever seen that much frustration in one man before, I nearly laughed out loud at the look on his face.
"I think you know." He replied acidly.
"Well you know what they say, 'I want doesn't get'."
"That's where you're wrong Allie, because I do get what I want."
"Well you can't have me." I replied. "And don't you dare use the necklace."
"I wasn't going to." He replied bitterly. Though I knew he was tempted.
"Well if you aren't going to use it anymore how about you just take it off like I asked you a thousand times?"
"Is that why you are doing this?" he scowled at me.
"It's your choice." I said, smiling sweetly and returning to my book.
You are definitely more demon than human Allie Jones. He thought waspishly at me, and I knew I had won.
