LOUIS
It was a few days after Andrew's birthday party. He and Harry had been talking on the phone every single day, multiple times. They hadn't planned a day just yet to meet up for dinner, but their friendship was growing stronger and stronger every single day.
It was Wednesday evening. Louis was making dinner, Liam was still at work and Isa was doing homework. He hadn't talked to Harry that day, he had a bunch of classes. He only sent a quick text saying that said he will call tonight. Louis felt the absence, missing Harry like they hadn't talked in months.
Louis just made a simple dinner, grilled cheese and soup. As he placed Isa's sandwich on a plate, there was a knock at the door. Louis placed it at the table and called his daughter in. She went over to eat and Louis went to check the door. When he looked through the peephole, outside was Harry.
He quickly threw open the door and smiled. "Now, what do we have here?"
"Well, the flat is empty and I didn't feel like studying all alone. Is it okay?" Harry was clearly apprehensive, which Louis understood. He hated that he caused Harry to be this way.
"It's okay," Louis said, nodding. He stepped out of the way and Harry walked in. He placed his book bag down near the couch and followed Louis into the kitchen.
"Harry!" Isa said, mouth full of a grilled cheese sandwich.
"Isabella May, please do not talk with food in your mouth," Louis scolded. "Harry, do you want a grilled cheese?"
"Sure, but I can make it."
"No, no. Sit. I'll make it for you, love."
Harry sat down with Isabella and Louis finished making dinner. With two sandwiches made and everyone getting a bowl of soup, they all started eating. It was pleasant time. It felt normal. It felt like this is how it always should've been.
After dinner, Louis quickly did the dishes and all three of them went to the living room. Isabella was finishing up her homework, Harry began studying from a large textbook, and Louis started reading the new book he just bought. It was domestic.
It was about an hour later that Liam got home. Louis realized that he never told him that they were on speaking terms again. So, when Liam walked in... It looked like he saw a ghost. He dropped his bag and was aghast. He started sputtering. It was amusing.
"I'm not upset that you're here, Harry... I'm more surprised than ever... Like... When?"
"Andrew's party," Louis answered, sticking the bookmark into his current read. "We're friends."
"Friends." Liam nodded, "Okay. Well... How's it going, mate?"
"I'm doing well. How are you?" Harry asked, shutting his textbook.
"Great. I'm really glad you're over here."
"I'm glad to be here," Harry said. Louis glanced over his shoulder, seeing the sincere smile on that man's face. He was actually happy to be here.
It was a few hours later, they had watched some TV with Liam, who found something quick in the kitchen. When it was time for Isa's bedtime, Liam called it a night as well.
"Do you have class tomorrow?" Louis asked Harry, while Isa got ready for bed.
"Yes, I have a lecture at noon."
"How much longer until you're done?"
Harry slowly reached over and grabbed Louis' hand, intertwining their fingers. "I should be done in May if I don't miss any classes and if I keep my GPA up. It shouldn't be an issue."
