AN: So, because the story is actually not supposed to be in February right now, I can't actually make it Valentines Day on Valentines Day. I can make it adorable, though, and I'll try my best. *Lilia's POV*

I woke up the next morning with the events of the night before still pulsing within my brain. I had been searching for a reason as to why I made that brave move, and I hadn’t found one yet. I smiled remembering that I hadn’t been the only one to confess love; he had said it too. Even though I was pretty sure he would never actually call, it had been exciting and romantic that he had caught me after the show; and I thought that was definitely worth remembering.

I heard the familiar buzz of a phone, and my body jolted excitedly thinking it could be Alex. As I patted the area around me desperately searching for the source of the ringtone, Vi entered the room with the landline in her hand. “Have you seen my phone? I can’t seem to find it.” I frowned. “Well, I can hear it; but no, I haven’t seen it.” She began shuffling around, uncovering things in her own search for the phone.

She looked back up at me as she held up a mobile phone in her other hand and laughed. "What? Did you get all excited thinking Alex had called?" Yes. "No." She saw right through my lie and giggled silently. Only then did we hear another ring echo the first. "I'm gonna take this call. Don't spend too long on yours, or you'll be late for work. Don't want to keep those kids waiting." I jumped from my bed and scowered the room until I found the phone sitting underneath the bed. A number I didn't recognize.

"Hello?"

*Alex's POV*

Her voice chimed out excitedly, and I wondered if she had been waiting for someone else to call.

"Hey, love. It's Alex. How are you?" Shit. So much for cool and composed; I already sounded desperate.

"I'm doing well, what about you?" Why couldn't I have sounded like that? Effortless, casual.

"Great, now that I'm talking with you." What the hell. Words seemed to be just rolling off my tongue, and all the wrong ones at that. She giggled, and I continued. "Listen, what are you doing this morning?"

"I'm teaching." She laughed. I forgot she worked. Of course she worked; she always liked to busy herself with something. I remembered that.

"Right, right. Well then, would you like to get some coffee this afternoon?" I was not prepared for this. Had I even checked my schedule to see if I had time to meet her? It didn't matter; I would make time for her.

"Uh, okay!" She replied cheerfully into the phone. "See you then." I had just began to stutter out a goodbye when the phone beeped. Gone again, but at least I had a chance.
