*Alex's POV*
The doorbell rang signifying the arrival of Miles gay cousin. I was not ready for this, but I reminded myself that it was for Lillia and flung the door open. There stood a man of about 5'6 with heavily gelled bleach blonde hair and obvious self-tanner smeared on. He looked like a real-life version of a ken doll with his pink polo, khaki shorts, and yellow cardigan thrown over his shoulders. "Hey! I'm Ed, so nice to meet you!" He said in an overly cheery voice while holding out his hand. "Uh, hey mate. Yeah, nice to meet you too." He looked at me suspiciously then asked, "Was this outfit to gay? I really wasn't sure what to wear, but I guess this was a bit too much. Sorry." I automatically felt bad for looking at him weirdly, and I apologized. Just then I saw a movement coming from his car behind him, and out popped another overly bronzed figure. This one was a female wearing a neon green intensely tight, intensely revealing dress and ginormous black hooker heels. She honestly looked like a prostitute with her hair so intensely straightened and her makeup caked on like that.
"Oh no." I thought. Not some super fan come to take her chances with me. She skittered up the steps and gleamed flirtily at me then nudged Ed when he didn't immediately introduce her. "Oh, yeah, of course. This is Kynlie." She thrust her hand and her boobs out at me with a smirk on her face. "Hey." This girl was too much. Why had he brought her here at all? "Hey, are you a fan?" I questioned skeptically. She rolled her eyes with an obvious character I had seen too many times. "No, I've never even heard your music. I'm just here with Ed." She looked at me, and I instantly switched my glance. Her eyes were beautiful, but there was something deceptive in them that I didn't like.
"Well, c'mon, you two flirts! Let's hit the road." Flirts? Obviously Ed was setting up his wild friend with me, or at least attempting to. What he didn't realize was that there was no way in hell I would be flirting with this girl. We walked down to the car and hopped inside; Kynlie scooted all the way over until she was seated right next to me, and I inched away as much as possible. Unfortunately, she snapped right back in one single nonchalant move. I sighed. I couldn't do anything now. Ed turned on the stereo blasting some overly pop song with scandalous lyrics. Kynlie began to sing and dance in her seat as sexily as she could manage, rubbing her butt against me as much as possible. "Oooh" Cooed Ed. "Kynlie and Alex are getting it on! Yeah, Alex get her going! Woohoo!" Oh god. Did my face not show pure disgust? How did they think I was pleased with this? I told myself I only had to survive one car ride before buring my head in my phone.
*Lillia's POV*
At 12:30 I was done with classes for the day, and I merrily skipped off campus and into my car. I needed to find something to wear for tomorrow, and I was so excited. As I went through places in town collecting pieces for the outfit; though, I couldn't get that article out of my mind. Would his fans like me? The website wasn't the only one wondering. I didn't find anything about myself particularly worthy of hate, but anyone could find a million reasons if they really wanted to. I mentally told myself not to think about it anymore as I walked into a chic little boutique, but there were people all around who could remind me instead.
One girl in a velvet blue coat rushed up to me. "You're the girl who was with Alex Turner! We've all been wondering who you are!" Many people turned and stared; others scurried up as well to see me. Another girl wearing a silver t-shirt and black jeans grabbed my hand. "We adore you! You're beautiful. What's your name?" Wow. I hadn't expected them to be so nice. "Lillia… So you don't hate me? I thought all the fans might want to get rid of me after they found out." The girl let out a gasp. "No, of course not! You're perfect for Alex! Way better than any of the other girls he's dated." I chuckled remembering I was actually one of the ones he'd dated. "Well, actually we aren't really dating yet, but we have in the past. For about three years in high school." They all looked shocked. I guess no one really delved that deep into his past. "Wow! So you were there when he started making music?" They seemed so excited. "Yes, I was there. They didn't always have original songs." I laughed, and they all laughed along with me. I had no idea fans could be this nice and friendly, and I realized I had nothing to worry about.
*Alex's POV*
I stepped out of the car. Fifteen minutes in the car with that girl had been fifteen minutes too many. "Okay, so this is wear we'll be getting your clothes today… How fancy is this place?" Ed asked. "Coat and tie, I think. It's a nice place." Ed nodded in approval while looking me up and down; I felt like I was being scouted out for a threesome. "Oh good. That'll look good on your body." He winked and led me in to the store with Kynlie following at our heels.
The store was sleek inside with chrome shelves and polished white tile floors. Another obviously gay man approached us glancing at Ed from the corner of his eye then back at me. "What are you looking for today?" I wasn't really sure, but Ed cut in just in time to answer for me. He said something about clothing, but I didn't understand many of the terms he was using. The attendant apparently did though because he nodded and said "Right this way. I've got just what you need." With a wink at Ed, he brought us to the back of the store and shoveled around until he brought out a nice black sports coat, a crisp white shirt, and black pants. It was nothing special, but it looked nice.
I stepped out of the dressing room feeling confident in the suit. "Yes." said the attendant. "Oh hell yes." said Ed. "Wow." Beamed Kynlie. She immediately took hold of my shoulder and whispered "You look so good." Her lips were wet on my ear, and I shrugged her off. "So, you think it works, Ed?" Ed smirked. "Oh, so now you like the gay?" My cheeks went red; I never disliked him. I just felt a little uncomfortable with letting him pick out my clothing at first. "Hey man, I always liked you. I was just a bit unsure of your style choices for a straight guy." He laughed. "Well, it looks good. She'll like it." I stepped back into the dressing room and took off the suit while wondering what Lillia was doing.
*Lillia's POV*
Alex's fans helped me shop for the final piece of my outfit, a gorgeous pale blue dress, and continued to question me about our relationship. Finally, I had to go, and they all called after me as I left. It felt so good to have people know who I was and actually like me. I'd never had fans, and even though I knew these were actually Alex's, I felt like they were on my team too.
*Alex's POV*
As I arrived back at my flat after a long car ride of being grinded on by Kynlie, I rushed out of the car and up to the door. Kynlie teetered after me on her giant heels, and pushed against me at the door. I was cornered. "Alex, I had so much fun today." I wasn't sure how to respond. We really hadn't talked at all, and I felt no connection with her. Still, what boy doesn't at least sort of like being hit on by a girl in a skimpy outfit? I didn't like her, but I didn't push her away. "Uh, yeah, sure. It was fun." Her eyes looked at mine seductively, and all of a sudden she pressed me up against the door and kissed me hard.
Her tongue flung into my mouth, slimy and minty against mine. All I could think was it wasn't Lillia. It wasn't Lillia. She took my hand and held it in hers, but I pulled it away and pushed her back. It just wasn't Lillia; it wasn't right. She looked at me with a mix of confusion and frustration on her face. "What's wrong?" I could hear that she was pissed. "I'm sorry, but I love Lillia." Her face changed in to an even more unattractive version of itself. "You've only really known her a few days! You can't love her!" I sighed. It was stupid, but I did. I loved her. "I do. Anyways, I don't like you that much. You would've just been another groupie." She glared at me. "Fine!" She shot me the finger and walked away.
As I stepped inside Jamie walked up to me. "Dude, what was that? I thought you were over the moon about Lillia? Who was that?" Great. Now Jamie thought I'd decided on some slut over Lillia. "She was just some annoying girl. I don't like her at all, and I still love Lillia." He was still a bit confused, but let it go after that.
