*Lillia’s POV*
As I sat on the couch waiting for Jamie to queue up Ghost Busters I felt an arm slip around my waist. I turned to see Alex, and I smiled before snuggling into him. Matt sat at the end of the couch, and Miles, Nick, and Jamie dragged in chairs from other rooms to sit on. As we watched I felt my eyes getting tired, and my vision started to blur. I let myself relax and closed my eyes. I was safe here with Alex without a worry in the world.
*Alex’s POV*
As I heard Lillia’s breathing become heavier I looked down. There she was, beautiful as ever, fast asleep on my chest. I smiled and kissed her on the forehead. “Couldn’t keep her up all night, mate?” Jamie raised his eyebrows and laughed. I shot him the finger and chuckled a bit as well. I didn’t want anything but this right now, anything but her. As the boys continued watching I let my own eyes close, still holding her tightly in my arms.
*Lillia’s POV*
I woke up in Alex’s arms; we were both lying on the couch, and I shivered lightly at the chill in the air. I pulled out my phone and checked the time. It was already 9:00. I glanced up at Alex to find him peacefully sleeping, and I unclasped his arms from around me. I stood up and looked around the room. The boys were no longer there, and I wasn’t sure what to do. Here I was in an unfamiliar house all alone. Should I leave? Should I wait for them to come back? Should I look around? Just then Jamie stepped into the room. “Hey Lil, want some tea?” I nodded and smiled at him before following him into the kitchen.
“You and Alex looked pretty cozy last night.” He said with a chuckle. I giggled slightly then stopped myself realizing I sounded like a teenager again. He handed me a warm mug, and I sipped from it silently as I glanced around the room. They had a very nice flat, but not what I would expect from a popular band. “So, do you all live together?” Jamie shook his head. “No, this is just Alex and I’s flat. Matt lives with his fiancé, and Miles as a place of his own.” He continued, “They come here all the time, though. Band practices, game nights, it’s like their second home.” That’s how it had been in high school, too. They always gathered at Jamie’s house since it was the biggest and the coolest. Plus his parents had never been in much, so we usually had the whole place to ourselves.
Alex walked in rubbing his sleepy eyes. “Man, last night was great. God, isn’t she perfect?” I blushed realizing he probably didn’t know I was there yet. He looked up with shock, and his cheeks went red too. “Oh, uh, hey Lillia. Didn’t know you were still here.” I smiled. “Yeah, I guess I fell asleep last night.” He grabbed a cup of tea and smiled. “Oh, yeah, I remember that now.” Jamie laughed before leaving us to go do something else. “Hey, uh, Lillia, would you like to do something today?” Alex said shyly. I mentally recalled my schedule. It was a Saturday, so of course I wasn’t busy. “Yeah, that sounds great, but I’ve got to go home and change first.” He thought for a second then responded, “Okay, can we just swing by your place on the way? You don’t need to be really dressed up to go where we’re headed.” He shot me a smile, and I agreed.
