Chapter 7 ~ Revelation

"Baby, I have something to tell you..."

Scott looked really nervous, his brow furrowed in a deep frown. I shuffled closer, wrapping my arms round his neck.

"What is it?" I asked softly. "You don't have to worry about it. What's wrong?"

He took a deep breath and lifted his head up. His beautiful green eyes bore into mine, and it was like he was searching them for something. His looked dark, and deep, and troubled.

"Just, please don't be scared and run away." I frowned, how bad was it?

Just listen to him. Don't freak out. Be calm, he'll always love you Angel Percy's voice echoed around my mind.

"Just tell me," I said gently, tenderly caressing his cheek.

"I'm a vampire."

I stopped dead still. What? He's a lycan though, he's Brax's Beta, in a pack. I frowned in confusion.

"Baby, Nina, please tell me what you think. Please talk to me," Scott begged, looking nervous.

"You're a lycan though, how can you be a vampire?" I asked slowly.

"I'm a hybrid. Half wolf, half vampire. My father was a wolf, and my mother was a vampire, yet my father's genes are stronger and more dominant."

"Do you have fangs?" He nodded slowly, frowning in confusion. "Can I see them?" I watched as fangs slowly slide out, shining in the sun. I gulped, they look a little intimidating. Seeing how uncomfortable I was, Scott immediately retracted them, pulling me into his arms, then onto his lap.

"What do you think? I'm sorry if I scared you, but I didn't want to keep it from you," he murmured.

I hesitated for a moment, was I fine with it? I... love him, whatever he may be. I slowly nodded and smiled, "I think it's awesome that you're a vampire, Scott."

"Really?" His eyebrows rose in shock.

I nodded again, "of course. I don't care what you are, you're my mate, and I... like you."

He smiled in relief, "I like you too, princess." He tenderly kissed me, then pulled back. "Do you want to go meet Bridget?"

I nodded, giving him a reassuring smile.

"Are you sure? You were really scared of Mark, I don't want you to be frightened."

"I'm sure, and thank you for your concern, but I want to do this, for you."

"Princess, if you feel uncomfortable about this, you don't have to do it, not for my sake."

"No I want to do it. I want to be friends with someone other than you and Brax."

He scoffed, "I'm a friend?"

I smirked, "well, more an acquaint."

He growled warning, and I giggled. God, I was giggling a lot lately. Only Scott can make me giggle.

"I'm joking," I chuckled. He grinned victoriously and kissed my roughly before pulling back and placing me on the bed next to him.

"I'll be outside! Make sure to bring a coat!" He called over his shoulder, and I smiled at his concern.

Scott walked me up into the pack house, his hands firmly pressed against the bottom of my back. People kept walking past us, glancing at us. I clutched his arm, clinging on for life. Scott pulled me into his side, glaring at whoever dared look at us. He led me through to an office, letting us in immediately. Brax was sat behind his desk, his head on the desk, as a young woman around my age sat on the sofa. She had long blonde hair flowing down over her shoulders, and pretty baby blue eyes like my own. She wore a floral top and a hoodie, with white skinny jeans and blue sneakers. I was wearing my long waist-length hair in a braid, with blue jeans, blue sneakers and a long sleeved shirt as Scott wouldn't let me out of the house with the top on from earlier, and a knitted cardigan that I bunched in my hands.
