Chapter 10 ~ Shocking
She hesitated, "um, I have something to tell you..."
"Yes?" I asked, frowning in confusion.
She leant forward and whispered in my ear, "I'm pregnant."
My eyes went wide, and I froze. "Wow, that's amazing!" I grinned, still in shock. "And why did you whisper? I'm right here."
"Wolves have sensitive hearing."
"And?- Wait, you haven't told Brax, have you?" She shook her head as I crossed my legs underneath me. "Why not?"
"I'm scared, I don't know how he'll react. I'm scared as it is. I'm only nineteen! Brax is already twenty. I don't think we're old enough to be parents." She laid a protective hand over her belly.
"He's run the pack for two years, you'll be fine. He'll be ecstatic. Don't worry about it."
"But-"
"No. You are going to tell him after this shitty meeting thing."
She giggled, "thanks, Nina."
"No problem." I hugged her then stood up. "You coming or not?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Where?"
"To snoop on the meeting." She smirked and we ran downstairs. We peeked into the meeting room, and saw Matt and Brax holding Scott back. His eyes were completely black, like earlier in the bedroom.
"Have Brax's eyes ever done that?" I whispered to Bridget.
"Only a couple times when we're making out or having sex. But, he's never done it out of anger like this. Why? Has Scott done it before?"
"He did it earlier when we were making out. He lost control and Max, his wolf, took over. When we were outside he told me to go up to your room if it happened in the meeting." I glanced over at Vivian, her fangs were out as she and Jack stood next to each other, on alert. Jack's eyes were black as well as he and Scott stared into each other's eyes.
"Jack! Get the fuck off our land before we kill you!" Brax shouted.
"I am not leaving my son here! Especially with that thing he calls a mate!" Jack yelled back across the table. Tears pricked in the backs of my eyes. Thing? Scott's father thinks I'm a-a thing?
"Don't you fucking call Nina a thing!" Scott roared.
"Oh, Nina! That's its name, is it?" Vivian hissed through her fangs.
"Vivian, Jack, fuck off before I personally kill you for daring to hurt her," Matt growled.
"It's keeping him from us! Let us get rid of it, then we can have our son back!" Jack snarled. Tears rolled down my cheeks, and I ran up to Scott's old bedroom, locking myself in and jumping on his bed.
"Nina! Nina, honey!" Bridget shouted through the door, banging on it continuously. I sobbed into Scott's pillow, that had his wonderful scent on it; mint, chocolate and woodsy smell. I cried uncontrollably, until I heard his voice.
"Nina, baby. Open the door, please," he said, knocking gently.
~Scott~
I growled furiously at Jack when he implied that we get rid of my beautiful Nina. I fought against Matt and Brax's strong grips on my arms, trying to get free so I could kill the bastard across the table from me, yet their grip was like iron. Then I heard the footfalls of light feet outside of the meeting room, and I could smell my gorgeous little mate's scent. My head snapped to the right, as I heard a door slam shut on the floor above.
"Nina! Nina, honey!" Bridget shouted, hitting something. I glanced at Brax, then ran after her. Bridget was outside my bedroom, banging on the door frantically. She turned to me, and stopped, stepping back.
"Nina, baby. Open the door, please," I said softly, gently knocking on the door. I waited a couple minutes, then the door slowly opened and she peeked through the gap. My heart dropped when I saw her beautiful tear-stained face. "Princess," I whispered and pushed through the door, taking her into my arms. "Shh, baby, what's wrong?" I hushed gently. I picked her up bridal style and carried her over to the bed. I sat down and placed her in my lap as she cried into my shoulder.
"Your p-parents... said I... w-was a thing," she cried even harder, sniffling in between.
"Princess, ignore them," I whispered. "I'm never, ever going to leave you."
"Thank you, Scott," she murmured into my neck. I gently rocked her back and forth, my arms securing her, as she sobbed relentlessly into my neck, wetting my T-shirt.
"Did you really think I'd leave you just for them?" I asked. She hesitated then shrugged. "There's no reasons I can think of that I would leave you for, because there isn't any."
What about-? Max started, but I cut him off.
I know, but that'll only be for the best of her. Neither of us want her to get hurt, but we've so many enemies... We'll watch out I replied. Nina cried for ages afterwards, until it was nearly dawn, and by then we were laid back across the bed, with her laid on my chest, and all the upper half of my T-shirt was wet through. When she finally lifted her pretty little face up to mine, I wiped her tears away with my thumbs.
"Baby, my parents are stupid to even think I'd go with them, never mind leave you."
She nodded and sniffled. "Sorry for doubting you."
"Stop being sorry for everything!" I forced my mouth onto her little petite one, moving my lips against hers. She didn't hesitate about moving her mouth with mine, and pulling me on top of her as she laid back on the bed. Her arms wrapped around my neck, pulling me down so my body laid tightly pressed against hers. I ran a hand up underneath her jumper, trailing it up her soft-milky skin. She moaned and yanked my T-shirt off, chucking it on the floor before her nails ran down my back, making me shiver. Her long silky legs wrapped around my torso as I pulled her jumper off, leaving her in her sexy, lacy white bra. We continued kissing, our tongues taking over the kisses. I quickly flipped us over, my hands running up her back. One of my hands ran down to her ass, as the other slid under her bra fastener. One of her small hands trailed it's nails up my abs, the other holding herself up, yet she was pretty much laid on me. My hand grabbed her ass, then the door burst open, revealing...
