Chapter 11 ~ Anger
His hand grabbed my ass, then the door burst open, behind me. Before I knew it, I was behind him on the bed, as he covered my body, snarling at his parents, who stood at the door. Jack's eyes were black with anger, and Vivian was gaping with shock, her fangs gone.
"SCOTT!" Jack bellowed. "Get away from it!"
"Fuck off!"
"What were you doing?" Vivian whispered.
"What the fuck do you think we were doing? She's my girlfriend, my mate, we can do whatever the fuck we want."
"It can't be your mate! It's not a wolf!" Jack shouted and I cowered in Scott's bare back to try and cover my bare chest and bra.
"So?! Mom isn't a wolf yet you accepted her! And I accepted Nina!"
"YOU CAN'T!"
"Well I have! You can't do anything about it! SHE'S MINE!" He growled, his arms behind him and holding onto me as my hands were placed on his shoulder blades. "Don't fucking tell me what to do!" In a flash, Brax and Matt were stood at the end of the bed, in defensive stance. Jack snarled at Scott and I felt a weird sense of anger at Jack and Vivian for daring to drag me away from my mate. I felt my eyes turning black, my hands in fists against Scott's back. I crushed my teeth together, staring at Scott's parents in such anger even I shocked myself. Suddenly, the room gasped, all of them looking at me. Then I noticed that my wings had unfurled to their full length, the tips stretching themselves out. I gasped, hiding behind Scott.
"Fuck," he muttered. I glanced up at Vivian and Jack, Vivian was staring at me in anger, and Jack was glaring at Scott. In a flash, Vivian was next to the bed, her hand going to grab my neck. I smirked, I'm an angel! I'm quicker and smarter than humans, wolves and vampires in this case. I grabbed her wrist and spun it up her back.
"If you don't want to break your wrist, I suggest you don't try that again," I hissed in her ear as I stood up from the bed behind her in one fluent, quick move. My voice was deeper and more aggressive.
She laughed mockingly and I cracked her wrist, knowing it would heal quickly anyway. Before I knew it, she had spun round and threw me across the room, and I hit the wall on the other side of the bed. I growled lowly, crouching in fighting stance whilst glaring daggers at her.
"Aw, is the little angel mad?" Vivian pouted mockingly whilst snickering with laughter.
"I don't know, are they? Anyway, I think there's a fact that you don't know," I smirked.
"Oh? And what is that?" She said through her pearly white fangs.
"Fallen angels such as myself are able to snap at any moment. Our ability to get angry is heightened, we're not so peaceful anymore, are we? Also, when we snap, it usually involves that person who pissed them off's neck."
I saw her gulp heavily, as I jumped across the bed and pinned her to the opposite wall by her neck.
"One little movement of my hand, and your neck is broke, and I'm almost positive that someone round here will have a lighter." By breaking a vampire's neck, it doesn't kill them, like it does humans, that's why you have to set the remainders of their body alight.
Nina! Calm down! This isn't you! Angel Percy interjected. I momentarily snapped out of my anger driven rage, and realised I was one small movement away from snapping my boyfriend/mate's mother's neck. I stepped back, dropping my arm and bolted out of the door. I sprinted out of the pack house and to the cabin, locking myself in.
~Scott~
I started after my beautiful mate when Jack pinned me back against the wall by my throat. I punched him square in the cheek, slipping out of his grip and slamming my fist into his stomach, watching him fold over, the air knocked out of his lungs. I kneed him in the face, shoving him against the wall, one hand gripping his neck tightly, the other in a fist against his stomach.
"Scott! You're killing him!" Brax shouted.
"Can you remember those scars on my back? They were from this bastard! He used to hit me for no reason when he came home drunk! I'm never going to do that to my pups that I'm going to have with Nina!" I yelled in Jack's face.
"She's pregnant?!" Vivian hissed in anger and disbelief. She was being held back by Matt, and I was very grateful.
I didn't reply, just glaring into my father's unfriendly eyes.
"We're going to get you back," he stuttered out.
"Never. I'd much rather kill you than leave Nina," I muttered viciously. "It's my favoured option."
"You wouldn't do it."
"Don't test me." He brought up his fist and punched me in the eye. I stepped back and kicked his legs out from underneath him. He grabbed my ankles, and pulled me down with him. I kneed him in the gut, smashing my elbow into his nose, with a satisfying crack! He punched me in the face again, this time with less strength behind it and I knew he couldn't fight. I felt blood dripping down my chin from my mouth, and pressed my knee into his stomach, kneeling on top of him, pinning him down into the floor.
*Don't do it, bro* Brax linked me.
*I have to. For Nina, for the pack, for everyone I care about. I will never go with them. My mother tried to kill my mate for Christ's sake's!* I replied. *I have to do it*
*No, you don't. Trust me*
*Banishing them won't do anything, please let me do this, Brax*
*Don't carry this around with yourself, or hurt your future with Nina, or your future pups. Please*
I sighed heavily, getting up off Jack and stepping back whilst Brax and some warriors came and got Jack and Vivian. I sat down on my bed, picking up Nina's jumper and smelling it, to inhale her beautiful scent. Brax walked in, running his hands through his hair.
"Go to her, Scott. She's probably pretty upset," he said, and I nodded immediately, using my vampire speed to bolt to the cabin. Instead of it being unlocked like usual, it was locked, and I banged on the door repetitively.
"Nina! Nina, baby! Open the door! Please!" I shouted. I could smell her scent, but I couldn't hear anything, even with my strong and sensitive wolf hearing. Then, the door flew open and she launched her small body into my arm, sobbing. I walked into the cabin, holding her, with her legs wrapped securely around my waist. I sat on the sofa with her body straddling my lap. She lifted her head from my shoulder, tears staining her rosy little cheeks.
"I want to finish the mating process..."
