Greg's POV
I was surrounded by darkness, nothing around me. Until, I saw a person, a woman, to be exact. She turned around and looked at me, and I saw her face. "Natalie!" I screamed, as I ran towards her. Then, out of nowhere, a dark blast came in, and hit her. She laid on the floor, bloodied and dead. "No!!" I screamed. Then, I shot upward on the floor.
Narrators POV
Guillermo walked out to where Greg was, and sat down. "You okay?" He asked. "I'm fine," Greg said. Star walked out from the shower, and sat down next to Guillermo. "You had a nightmare," Star said. "I don't have nightmares," Greg said. "We heard you, something about Natalie," Guillermo said. "I don't know what you're talking about," Greg said. He got up and walked outside, Star tried to follow, but Guillermo held her back. "Don't try and force it, he won't say anything," Guillermo said.
Greg was out walking around the beach, looking at the water. 'I miss you,' Greg thought. He sat down and started crying. A girl came up and sat down next to him, allowing him to regain composure. "Hi," she said. "How's it going?" Greg asked. "Good, what's your name?" She asked. "Hey, Greg!!" Someone screamed. Greg looked behind him, and saw Guillermo and Star jogging towards him. "What's up guys?" Greg said. "We're worried about you," Guillermo said. "Don't be, I'm fine," Greg said. "The hell you are, you've been depressed for eight months," Star said. "No, I haven't," Greg said. Lightning started to flash in the sky. "Oh, not good," Greg said. A lightning bolt struck the ground, and out came a person. Fire came up from the ground, and formed another person. "Oh come on," Greg said. "Hey hey hey," one of them said. Greg and Guillermo had a look of surprise on them that could only be described as 'what the fuck?' "Come on, we need to keep a low profile," the other said. "Don't be so grouchy, Sparky," one said. "Hey, I'm not the one rising from flames going, 'hey hey hey,' like I just got into a strip club flame brain," the other said. Greg and Guillermo busted out laughing. "You two, we need to talk," they pointed at Greg and Guillermo. "What do you want with us?" Greg asked. "Meet us at the buffet in thirty minutes," one said. They disappeared. "Great," Greg sighed. "Let's go meet them." They left the beach and went to the buffet.
Thirty minutes passed, both Greg and Guillermo were up getting food. They come back, and they see the two people they saw. "Nice disguises, care to tell us why you're here?" Greg asked. "Well, it has something to do with the fact a full scale war is coming," one said. "Hey, fire crotch, how about I do the talking?" Lightning said. "Okay, Sparky," Fire said. "Look, here's the deal, you two are pretty much all we have now," Lightning said. "What are you talking about?" Guillermo asked. "War is coming, and it's gonna be deadly," Fire said. "Look, we know, I'm telling you now, no," Greg said. "And I'm telling you that you don't have a choice!" Lightning roared. "I'm afraid he's right, you don't have a choice," Fire said. "What do you know so far about this war?" Guillermo asked. "People all over the world are marked," Fire said. "That's good, isn't it?" Greg asked. "Not in the numbers it's escalating to," Lightning said. "Not only that, turns out someone has acquired the power Connor had," Fire said. "Oh crap, not again," Greg said. "Listen, people all over the world are going to be looking for you, whether they want to be allies or not, is up to them," Lightning said. "It's your job to make as many allies as you can." "What, do you want us to go and post flyers?" Greg asked. "'Join us and we can fight the forces of evil,' sounds too much like a superhero comic," Greg said. "Greg, come on, you know what side to fight on," Guillermo said. "No, I don't," Greg said. "I've got one side where it'll end up being chaos if they win, and I got another side where they couldn't do anything to save my dead girlfriend and my father," Greg punched the wall. "Greg," Star said. "I need to be alone," Greg walked off.
Night came, and Greg was on the pier, sitting on the side. "How are the fish biting?" Someone said. Guillermo came up and sat with Greg. "Greg, I don't know what it's like to lose a father, or to lose a girlfriend the way you did," he said. "But, I know that they wouldn't want you to sit in mourning," Guillermo spoke softly. "Guillermo, it's my fault that they're dead, I can't forgive myself for that," Greg said. "Have you forgotten what they told you before they died?" Guillermo asked. Greg then had flashbacks, he saw both Natalie and his dad. "I love you," Natalie said. "No matter what happens," his dad said. "I will always love you." Greg looked up to the night sky, and smiled. "I can't run away anymore, it's time for me to fight for everyone," Greg said. "Let's go home," Guillermo said. "Guillermo, where will they be coming from?" Greg asked. "I don't know, they said that it could come from anywhere," Guillermo answered. 'Our war has just begun,' Greg thought.
