They were driving, and they stopped for drinks. Guillermo took over driving so that Greg could sleep. 'Their deaths have gotten to him,' Guillermo thought. "I hope he'll be okay," he whispered to himself. "Guillermo," Star said. "Yeah?" He answered. "Do you think this war will end up taking a toll on the both of you?" She asked. "I'm not sure, I'm not gonna lie to you hon, I'm scared," Guillermo said. "I am too," Star said. "But, listen, no matter what happens, I'll be there for you." Guillermo held Star's hand. "I love you baby," Guillermo said. "I love you too," Star said. "No, please don't!!" Greg screamed, as he lunged up. Greg looked around, and fell back asleep. "Poor guy, he's been through hell," Guillermo said. Guillermo drove on.
Night came, and they stopped at a hotel. Greg, still asleep, was dreaming about something. He was surrounded by a never ending stream of water. In front of him, a person was standing, a woman, she was crying. He walked up to her. "What's wrong?" Greg asked. She turned around, Greg gasped in horror. "You let me die, Greg," she said. "Natalie, I'm sorry, I wasn't fast enough," Greg apologized. "I'm dead, because of you," Natalie repeated, over and over. Greg started panicking, he could hear nothing else other than Natalie. His dad came and put his hand on Greg's shoulder, "It should've been you, Greg," he said. "AHHH!!!" Greg screamed, as he lunged upward from a bed. Greg got up and sat on the edge of it. "Hey, you okay?" Star asked, as she sat with him. "I don't know," he said. "You wanna talk about it?" She asked. "I just, I can't help but get the feeling that Natalie's death is my fault, as well as my dad's," Greg said. "If it wasn't for me, they'd be alive right now," Greg shed a tear. "Greg, they loved you, and you love them," Star said. "Their deaths are what gave you strength in that final fight," Star put her hand on Greg's shoulder. "They wouldn't want you to be like this, they'd want you to move on," Star said. "I don't think that's possible," Greg said. "You'll see, maybe after this, maybe years from now, but, you will," Star said. "No, I won't move on, I know I won't, because..." Greg fell silent. "Greg?" Star asked. "Well, I told you how I asked Natalie one night about cashing in our v cards right?" Greg asked. "Yeah, we were at your cabin," Star said. "Well, that was a lie, we cashed them in about a year ago," Greg said. "Okay, so, it's not like you did something wrong," Star said. "Star..." Greg was interrupted by someone knocking at the door. Greg walked up and answered it. Nobody was there, but, they left a note. "Greg, if you're reading this, then I'm no longer with you, so there's something you need to know, I was feeling sick on and off for a few days, so I took a test, and I tested positive. You need to stop by my mother's house after this tournament, because, there's someone you need to meet." Greg started tearing up. "We need to leave, now," Greg said. "In the morning, we need rest," Star said.
Morning came, they packed the Impala, and drove to Florida. "Greg, do you know what's waiting for you?" Star asked. "I have an idea on it," Greg said.
