Being Philip Hamilton's partner for a science project seemed like the worst idea imaginable. The school popular boy, who was perfect at everything from flirting to sports. Not only that, but he was clearly the most attractive boy to go to the school. His what seemed like millions of freckles; brown, messy, curly hair; eyes that looked to be hazel, you hadn't been close enough to see, but either way, they sparkled almost all day; they made everyone fall at his feet and praise him.

Philip would lightly chuckle at this, as you'd observed, when people hit on him. You were one of many who had a crush on him. How could you not? So, when the teacher announced you'd been partnered with him, you were ready to drop out of school, move to Peru and go off the grid.

He gave a sheepish smile across the room, getting up and walking to you. You were fairly impressed he knew you. " H-hey, (Y/N), " he stuttered, shoving his hands into his pockets. You were sure he was blushing; or it was warm in the room. " Hi P-Philip, " you murmur, rubbing your neck. " I was wondering if we could maybe work on this project at my house after school, since it's so much? I mean, it's fine if you don't want to! Or we could go to your house if you aren't comfortable with that..? "

You chuckled, blushing, " No, it's fine, let's go to your place. I'll probably be working on this in other classes, so we'll have a head start, " you noted, smiling. " Great! Okay, uhm, see you after school? " he confirmed, and you nodded, " Yup. "

Throughout the rest of the day, you'd barely focused, more concentrated on not screwing up your one chance to hang out with Philip. Hopefully, things wouldn't go downhill. When the bell rung signaling the end of your final class, you darted out of the school and waited in front of the school under a tree.

You saw Philip wave, say goodbye to one of his friends and walk up. " Hey! I always walk, since I only live a couple blocks down. Are you cool with that? " he asked, intertwining his fingers with yours and keeping a little grip on your hand. " Y-yeah! Sounds good! " you managed to get out, face tomato red. " Great! " he exclaimed, walking with you to his house.

When you walked up, to your disappointment, he dropped your hand and opened the door. " Welcome to my house! I think my dad is gonna be-- " " Philip! " you heard a man's voice yell, and he smiled, whisking you inside. " Hey pop! " he exclaimed, seeing his dad sitting at the dining room table, holding a pen with several pieces of paper in front of him. He hugged his dad, and returned his attention to you.

" Pop, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), my dad, " he introduced, the man grinning and standing up.
" Well if it isn't the infamous (Y/N)! It's a pleasure to meet you! Philip never stops talking about you! " he brightly smiled, Philip's eyes widening. You giggled and stuck out your hand, " I'm flattered. It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Hamilton. "

" Please, dear, call me Alexander, " he chuckled, shaking your hand. " She's got great manners. You've really gotten a catch, Phil! " Alexander nudged his son's shoulder, Philip a bright red. " D-dad! " Philip's embarrassment only egged Alexander on more. " Come, sit down with me and work on your project and I can share more embarrassing secrets of Philip, " he said, grinning larger than ever.

You did, end up sitting down at the dining room table with Alexander on your right at the end of the table and Philip across from you. " My dear Philip here is a very smart and cute boy. I hope you treat him well, " he teases, tugging Philip's ear. " You're making it sound like I'm a favorite, Mom'll kill you if you make any of the others feel bad! " Philip blurted, hoping this would stop him. You had a big smile plastered on your face as you watched the interaction. It was extremely adorable to you.

" Mom doesn't need to know, Phil. Just between me, you and your girlfriend, " he snickered, looking back down on his paper and writing a line. " She's not my girlfriend, dad, she's my friend! " he said, looking up at you. You had a light blush on your face, giggling.

" That's what they all say. Your uncle, Hercules, before he started dating a girl, always said that when George teased them, " he mused, writing. " But anyway, maybe you won't be the same. Maybe you'll get married. "

Philip had gotten up to get a glass of water before Alexander's comment. After, he choked on what water he was about to drink. Coughing up a storm, you laughed, and grabbed his hand, rubbing his arm in an affectionate way. " Philip, calm down, are you okay? "

After a second, he nodded, " Just got some water stuck in my throat because of someone,
" he glared daggers at his dad, who was grinning. " You can't tell me you aren't dating. Look at that move! " he said, looking at you rubbing Philip's arm. You both quickly pulled away, blushing profusely.

After lots of banter for a couple hours, it was getting late, so you decided you'd pick up where you left off tomorrow, which was a Saturday so you would have the whole day. But before you could go, the door opened, a very pretty woman there. " Honey! Philip brought his girlfriend! " Alexander said, meeting his wife at the door. She rolled her eyes at her husbands comment, " Don't tell me you've been making too much fun of (Y/N) and Philip, " she giggled before walking up to you. " I'm Eliza, Philip's mother. It's very nice to meet you. You truly are as beautiful as Philip says! "

Philip, in the corner, was hunched over, probably dying. " T-thank you, Mrs. Hamilton. You are very pretty! You must only be, what, 25? " you grinned. " Philip, she's a keeper! My dear, call me Eliza, " she pulled you into a hug. It was a very motherly and sweet hug. " Mom! Okay, we need to go, she has to go home, bye you two! " he yelled, grabbing your hand and pulling you out. " It was very nice to meet you two! Bye! " you waved.

" I'm so sorry about my parents, " he apologized when you were a couple blocks down. " It's okay, I didn't m-mind! They're really nice, " you commented, shivering slightly at the temperature drop. He noticed and shed his jacket, handing it to you. " O-oh! Thank you, Philip, " you said, pulling it over you. It smelled amazing; like laundry detergent and cinnamon.

" No problem, " he said, once again holding your hand, " Where should we meet tomorrow? " You pondered for a moment. " Why not back to your place? Well, I mean, it's fine if you don't wanna, uh, we can do my house? " you said, blushing for the millionth time.

" We can go back to my house, just as long as you're okay with it, " he said, walking up to your porch. " You have my number, right? Text me, and we can finalize plans. "

" Okay, " you nodded. " Alright, goodnight (Y/N)! " he said, waving and getting ready to leave. " Wait! Philip! " you mustered up some courage, walking up to him. " Yeah? " he said, stopping. You got onto your tippy toes and pressed a kiss to his lips. He blushed, but very quickly reciprocated. After kissing for a few minutes, you pulled away, him letting out a disappointed sigh.

" Thanks, for uh, a good evening, " you giggled, hugging him. " Thanks for coming over, " he breathed out, hugging you tight. " Oh! And your sweater! " you were about to take it off when he put up a hand. " It's fine. Keep it, you look better in it. Night! " he said, walking away.

" Night, Philip. " you breathed out, giddily walking into your house.
