Summary: You're paired with Alexander on a camping trip and get lost.

Pacing, you stared at the ground, arms crossed behind your back. Your shoes gathered up dirt, and you quickly tapped your foot on the ground to rid it of the dirt.

" Can you stop acting so weird? " Alexander Hamilton sassily remarked, rolling his eyes. You glared at the man whom you are stuck with. Your friends had dragged you on a camping trip, and partnered you two for a tent, and you two had ended up getting lost in the woods. ( Long story, don't ask. )

" No, I can't. Are you aware we are lost in the fucking woods? " you retort, angrily shoving your hands into your sweater's pockets. If you were a cartoon character, steam would be pouring out of your ears.

" Who cares? We have everything we need. Food, water, uh what else.. shelter, " he remarked, scribbling on a paper, " and entertainment. "

Your eyes bulged out of your head as you stared him down. " Well, it doesn't feel like it, " you sigh, crossing your arms and messing with the ground with your shoe.

" Sit down, relax, and stop talking for once, please, " he growled, chewing on his pen. You stare, as he looks back, eyes unwavering. You shake your head, tugging at your hair. " Okay, well if you're so calm and collected or whatever, why don't you try to find a way back? I'm too stressed to, " you growl, chewing on your fingernails.

He sighs, " Fine. But follow me so we don't lose each other. " " Fine, " you mutter, following him from the cave you had been camping out in. Earlier, it had been raining, but now it had stopped, leaving only mud in its wake. You followed him, careful not to fall.

You'd been walking with him for about an hour through the woods; decent conversation spilled out, which you learned he was an orphan and was going to school to be a lawyer. Eventually, you'd climbed up a hill that overlooked the whole forest.

You breathed out in admiration, staring. " Can you help me up? " Alexander asked, looking up at you from a crook of the hill that was unclimbable. You nodded, holding out your hands. He grabbed them and you pulled him up, accidentally with too much vigor, and fell over.

He was laying on top of you now, crushing you. You couldn't help but howl with laughter, the man following along.

Getting up, you two admired the sunset that plagued across the sky. " Well, were screwed, " Alex murmured, rubbing his arm. He looked over at you, who was admiring the sunset.

" Yeah, but whatever, it's not so bad, " you shrugged, sitting down and looking out. He chuckled and sat down next to you. " Yeah, I suppose so. "
As you set up your tent, you heard rattling from the bushes. Startled, you both looked up to see Peggy and Hercules emerge from the bushes. " Hey guys! " she exclaimed, running up to you and hugging you.

You grinned, hugging her back. " Hey. I'm glad you found us. "
They had taken you back to your group, and guys had made a formal decision to cancel the trip due to that happening, and drive home.
On your doorstep, you grinned at Alex. " I actually had a good time. Thanks, for getting lost with me, " you chuckled. " Anytime. "

Reciting how you met in your speech at your wedding, you giggled, smiling at Alexander.

Tears rolled down his cheeks, and he giggled along. Never did you know that when you'd gotten lost on a camping trip with some weird, short boy that you'd marry one day. But boy, were you thankful that something went wrong.
