Faith's P.O.V.

The next morning I wake up later than usual.

I sit up against the headboard and rub my eyes. I sigh to myself when I think about my fight with Ryder the night before.

Maybe if he wasn't so dang stubborn we wouldn't have this problem.

I decide to get up and make myself breakfast. I don't have to work today so I'm going shopping later so I can get out and explore Seattle some.

After breakfast I take a shower and get ready to leave. I call a cab since I haven't got a car yet. I sold my old one before I moved and I'm planning on using the money to buy a new one here.

I wait on my porch for the cab. I would ask Marley to come with me but her car isn't in her driveway.

After I few more minutes of scrolling through instagram on my phone, the cab pulls up. I'm shocked when my cab driver steps out of the car.

"Bill?"

The older man with white hair looks up at the sound of my voice and a smile immediately takes over his face.

"I knew this address seemed familiar." He says and I smile.

"I never got your name before Miss..."He trails off.

"Faith. My name is Faith."

"Faith. What a beautiful name." He compliments and I blush a little.

"Thank you."

"So where to today?" He asks when I get in the cab.

"Westfield Southcenter please."

"Going shopping?" He asks.

"Yes. I need some things for the apartment and I figured it was about time I got out and explored Seattle."

"Well it's a beautiful city. You'll love it here."

"I think I already do." I smile.

"How's the writing coming along?" He asks while looking at me through the mirror.

"You remembered?" I asked kind of shocked.

"Ok course I did. It's not often you find young people with so much enthusiasm, heart, and ambition as yourself."

"Well thank you. And it's coming along fine. Been a little distracted lately though." I answer him.

I don't know what it is but there's something about this man that makes him so easy to talk to. Maybe it's his kind smile or welcoming personality.

Just as he is about to respond, a phone goes off.

"I'm sorry dear, one second." He apologizes and grabs his phone from the console.

"Oh no, you're fine." I assure him.

"Hello?" He answers and I tune out the conversation to give him some privacy.

I wonder what Ryder's doing. I would text him but after last night I think we both need some space to think about things.

Maybe I shouldn't have been so hard on him but he overreacted as usual and punched a customer. He could've cost me my job. Not only that, but when I tried to talk to him about it he wouldn't take it seriously. I know neither one of us has been in a real relationship before but even I know what he did was wrong.

"Ryder, my boy, I don't kow what to tell you." I hear Bill say from the front and my head snaps up to look at him.

"Yes I know but women are complicated ceautrues that need to be treated with care. You can't punch her customer and expect her to be ok with it no matter the reasoning." He says and my jaw drops.
