Callie
"Something is wrong." I tell them.
"No, maybe she's just -"
I cut off Owen. "No, Owen. Something is wrong."
"Cal -" Mark begins.
"It has been eleven minutes and she is not back." I say. "Something is wrong."
"Alright, fine." Teddy says. "Let us know if you need anything."
I nod, bundling up my napkin and tossing it on my plate as I head into the bathroom.
Arizona was in a corner, grabbing her knees, crying.
Without thinking, I drop my things and fall to the floor beside her, wrapping my arms around her and letting her head fall on my shoulder.
"I'm - I'm sorry Calliope." She whispers.
"No. No no no, baby girl. Don't be sorry. For anything."
"I cut myself." She says in a raspy voice.
I squeeze her to my chest. "I know you did, sweetie. I know you did. And that's okay. You're going to overcome it. I'm going to help you."
"You have helped, you've helped too much. I don't deserve this." Arizona whispers.
"Arizona..." I say. "Stop. Stop it right now. You don't need to be apologizing."
She just chuckles, wiping at her tears and looking away from me.
I sit right in front of her, grabbing her face and making her look at me.
"Arizona." I say sternly. "It is okay. I am not upset with you. You are going through a bad time. And I'm not backing out when it gets tough. I'm not leaving you when it gets hard. No. Because I love you and love is proving yourself to someone. I love you, Arizona. I love you."
"I've just been such an inconvenience and I -"
"Shut up." I say.
"Callie -"
"Shut up."
"But I -"
"Shut up."
I stand up, pulling her up with me. I wrap my arms around her waist and I hug her. I want her to feel loved and I want her to know that she is my girl and that I love her with all my heart but she can't feel my love and that breaks me.
I kiss her collarbone.
"Shut up, Arizona. I love you."
She shakes her head. "Oh Callie I'm just so sorry."
We fall back on the floor and she starts to breathe fast, tears running. I put my hand on either side of her face and look her straight in the eyes.
"Breathe." I say, breathing with her. Trying to slow her down. "Breathe."
I wipe her tears away. "Look where we are, Arizona."
With a cracked voice, Arizona says "Joe's bar?"
"No. We are in Joe's Bar's Bathroom."
"Yeah."
"This is where we started, Arizona." I whisper as I cradle her. "This is where everything fell into place for me. And now, I declare. We are restarting. You are going to move on from her. And you're going to blow Whitney out of your mind. And this bathroom? It's our restart. We are restarting, right here and right now. This is our second beginning, Arizona."
She smiles at me. A smile that shines.
I lean in and kiss her on the lips.
"Our second beginning." She whispers.
