Emergency pt.1

On the way back home from the fair, it was kinda quiet. I was worried about Meredith, she seemed distant.

"How about we all stay at my house tonight? I'm sure my mom won't mind." I say, wanting more time with Ethan.

"What about your dad?" Grayson asked. Right after he said that, he inhaled like he already knew the answer.

"Mak, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring that up. I totally forgot." He trailed off.

"It's okay. I haven't really spoken to him in about a month." I say & get a squeezed thigh from Ethan in return. I look at him & smile.

"Mere, do you wanna call your mom? You could just not mention the boys." I turn around & tell her.

She blushes & takes her phone out.

"Hey, mom. we're on our way home, yeah, we had fun. But mom- yes we were safe." She rolled her eyes, "Mom! I just called to ask if I could stay at Makena's tonight. Yes, her mom will be there."

I quietly chuckled to myself.

"Okay, thanks. Love you too." He said quickly & hung up the phone, sighing.

"I love your mom." I giggled out.

"Ugh, she's so annoying. I swear, she's so overprotective." She says & leans her head on Grayson's shoulder.

"Hey, it gets better. Remember when my mom was worse than yours? Now she really let's me do whatever. Just as long as she knows where I am. She's just being safe." I tell her to try & cheer her up.

"I guess." She says quietly.

But honestly, I think she's more lenient now because my dad's been gone. He's supposidly on a business trip, but we all know better. He's having an affair, which is why my mom is so carefree now a days. She loved my dad, but I guess my dad didn't love her as much.

Ethan pulls into my driveway & we all get out. I pull my key out, unlock the door, & we all pile inside.

I check to see if my mom is downstairs but she's not. Her car is here so she's probably in her room.

I head up to my room, ignoring the all of a sudden pain in my chest. I tried ignoring it but it just kept getting worse.

When I reach my room, I grab my medicine I take when it does get this bad. I grab my water bottle, probably an old one, from my bedside table & gulp down the 3 pills.

"Mak, you good?" Meredith asks me, walking in right behind me.

"Yeah." I croak out.

Ethan walks in & I perk up, trying to act like I'm not in pain so he doesn't worry.

"Do yall want to sleep in here or downstairs?" I ask, setting my water bottle back on my table.

"Well the tv is bigger down there. Plus, I think there's more room to sleep downstairs." Ethan says.

"Well I can pull out the bed under mine." I say.

My bed is one of those that has another bed under it, so you just pull it out & BOOM, another bed.

"Where would we sleep?" Ethan smirks.

I got butterflies in my stomach, but said, "Either you or Meredith can sleep with me. whoever else will sleep on here." I pull out the extra bed & grab pillows & blankets from my closet.

"I'll sleep with you." Ethan says as I walk over to him, then he starts rubbing my back.

"Mere, is that okay with you? Or would you be more comfortable sleeping with me instead of Gray?" I ask her, knowing she's nervous.

"Nah, I'll be fine. It's just sleep. We can cuddle." She says, biting her lip.

I look over at Grayson, who's being weirdly quiet, & I catch him looking at Meredith in awe. I swear, he's so adorable at how he looks at her. She doesn't even know it, either.

"Can I wear some of your pajamas?" Meredith asks me.

I walk over to my closet, grab 2 pairs of booty shorts, 2 tshirts, & 2 pairs of sweatpants to give to the boys. They're a few pairs Ethan left here a while back.

I throw the sweatpants at the boys & grab Meredith, dragging her to the bathroom. I shut the door & we take our clothes off, throw our pj's on & quietly squeal.

"I've cuddled with E before, but not as anything more than friends." I say, starting to get nervous.

Meredith looks at me & says, "how do you think I feel? I mean, I wanna sleep with Grayson & cuddle, but this is new, it'll be so awkward."

"Dont feel awkward. Dude, you shoulda seen the way he was looking at you. Omg goals." I say, trying to cheer her up.

She looks down & blushes. Wow, she blushes a lot.

Suddenly, I start getting a sharp pain in my chest & it gets hard to breathe. Meredith looks up & notices me grabbing at my chest. My eyes start to water because of the pain.

"guys! help!" She yells & opens the door.

"We need to get her to the hospital. This could be bad." Grayson says because Ethan was frozen.

Grayson snaps at E, making him snap out of it. He doesn't say anything, he just grabs me up so I curl up into his arms. They run downstairs, run out the door, &run to the car. Yes, running, running to fast I almost got dropped. Grayson hops into the drivers seat, Mere in the back, & me & Ethan cuddled in the passenger seat.

"Dont quit on me. Please be okay. You'll be okay. I promise you. I'm right here." Ethan keeps whispering in my ear.
