Chapter 44 - Finally!

Today, they were finally recording their debut MV, no more dream, after what seemed like so long. It was a song they'd worked the hardest on, intending it to have a deeper meaning to the youth about having goals and not letting other things stand in the way. All of the boys were dressed in various outfits which all linked to the same theme; dark makeup and black clothes with chains. V even had some of his hair bleached, and he was the most ecstatic of all! "Come on guys! Next scene!" he kept screaming every time the music got restarted and they had to change positions or sets for different angles of their dance.

Hoseok had worked closely with some of the choreographers within the company to help produce their dance routine, and he was really trying to do his best performance, after all this MV was going to be their first impression on the public. They had already done the photoshoots for their album to be released, Jungkook secretly liked it the most. He was proud to see his face on a printed (essentially) photo album with their own cd, that he helped to produce, next to it.

After they had recorded their songs and such a couple months back, they were all in awe of how Jungkook sang, considering how quiet he was usually. It seemed like he was getting more confident now, especially when the cameras switched on, he was doing hand gestures and lip syncing with so much enthusiasm.

However, it was still tiring. They had done their choreography at least three times all the way through and they were starting to feel the ache in their legs. "I think we need to do the dance version outside one more time boys" one of the camera men said making them all groan, oh well, this is what they had expected. Now, they had their own cameras where each of them in turn would be filmed up close as they sang/rapped their parts of the song. Hoseok had to keep pulling off his face mask which was a nuisance but he did like the look of it. The main highlight of the day for Jimin however was when he was at the front of the dance during the chorus.

It seemed like after all his hard work, he finally got a chance to show off his abs, shocking even the managers. Jimin smirked to himself afterwards, Didn't think I could lose all the baby fat huh? he thought, proud of all he'd done. Finally the day came to a close, and the members were all congratulated for their efforts. Makeup was removed, outfits were taken off of them and the boys all got back into their comfy sweats and hoodies, ready for a good meal. Thankfully, the managers allowed them to go off their diet this one evening, so they were all arguing over which restaurant to go to.

They ended up sitting down at a corner booth in a Korean barbecue place, more specifically an 'all you can eat' barbecue place. "Well done today guys! I told you we'd make it!" Namjoon said raising a glass of spritzer, which thankfully they were all allowed since it was only a little bit of wine. They all clinked their glasses together before going up to get a plate. "This is delicious" Jimin said with a smile, he was finally eating right again and he had missed all divine tastes like this. "Have you quite got enough there?" Namjoon chuckled as Jin was already on his third plate.

Jin smiled a little sheepishly having just eaten a whole beef steak in one mouthful. "How do you eat so quickly?!" Hoseok had a shocked expression on his face making everyone laugh. Yoongi could feel his spirits lifting a little too, he was really enjoying his meal and was glad to have finally recorded that MV, now they only had the bulletproof MV to worry about. "Jungkookie, you did so well today!" Jimin ruffled his hair making the younger laugh in embarrassment. "Yah stop sucking up to him, he likes me more" Tae smiled his square smile, an arm around Jungkook.

"Thank you leader for all of this" Hoseok said when they were all finally stuffed - even Jin. "I couldn't have done it without you guys, come on you're the whole reason we got this far!" Namjoon replied, "To all of us!" Jimin chimed in, he was a little tipsy even though he'd drunk barely any wine. "I can't wait until we debut, I hope we get loads of fans!" Hoseok spoke up again, clapping his hands in excitement. "You never know, we did put all our effort in, so" Namjoon threw a smile back at him. "Do you think we'll last long enough to make another album?" Yoongi asked, desperate to do more and prove to his parents that he was doing well.

"I'm sure of it" Jin smiled, he had a lot more hope now that they were actually going to get some where, even if they weren't to be that popular, all of them had a lot of aspirations and the effort to do so, so why wouldn't they make it far? "Wahhh, Imagine if we ever won like... artist of the year or something?!" Jimin said, "It's not all about the awards" Namjoon added trying to maintain a positive spirit. "Yeah but, with awards we can really see the impact our music has on people, that we're doing well" Yoongi mumbled just loud enough for them to hear. "I got my hair bleached today!" Tae suddenly outbursted as if no one had noticed, "Very nice Tae" Jimin stuck his tongue out.
