Draco's POV
I slowly woke to consciousness, barely opening my groggy eyes to peer around. My girl slept right next to me, her body cuddled right up to mine. She breathed slowly, her eyes fluttering in her dreams. I watched her silently, staring at her perfect complexion. She shifted even closer to me, her breathing becoming rapid and beginning to moan. I hugged her close and she stopped. Her eyes opened and she smiled at me. "Morning beautiful," I whispered and kissed her lips. "Morning handsome," she said and settled back in my arms, drifting off again. "Hermione!" I sang softly in her ear, tickling it.
"What?" She sang back grinning.
"Guess what? I have the day off today!"
"Well guess what? I don't!"
I frowned, causing her to giggle. "I'm sorry, I just can't! You know I haven't been at work for a week because they told me to take off to handle problems with Ron. They will be expecting me back!"
I stuck out my lip and pouted.
"But, when I come back," she whispered. "You and I will have some alone time." I smirked lightly, accepting her bribe. She smiled again and kissed me. My lips tingled with delight once she left them, getting up to get dressed.
I threw on a tight black t shirt and some dark denim pants, ran my fingers through my hair and went downstairs. Scorpious was already serving himself some bacon and devouring it greedily. Roughing up his hair, I took my place next to him beginning my breakfast also. Hermione came down ten minutes later, carrying a Daily Prophet under her arm, smelling pleasantly of violet blossoms like she normally did. As she sat down, I stole the Daily Prophet from her to scan it. Headline: New Spells Discovered, Helped Thousands! Before anything else, she stole it back and settled down with a smirk.
Breakfast went by quietly and eventually Hermione got up to leave. I quickly kissed her goodbye and she scurried out the door. I turned to a now playful Scorpious who was grinning widely. I put my hands on my waist. "Looks like its just you and me buddy boy!" He galloped up to me and hugged my legs, squeezing them to his max. I suddenly realized how much time has gone by since I have just spent time with him. He must have felt so lonely, not making any friends besides the house elves, not having an actual friend to talk to. But that changed today. I picked him up and spun him around, causing him to scream. Winding down, I placed him on the ground and looked straight into his eyes and said, "What would you like to do today?" He put his fingers to his chin and put on his pondering face. "I wanna play Quidditch!"
All morning long, I taught my son how to play Quidditch in our stadium in the backyard. He weaved very fast, staying low to his broom like I taught him, and came streaming toward me. Just before I thought he would crash into me, he pulled the Quaffle out from under his arm and shot it right past me, into the tallest goal. Pride filled my chest as I cheered him on. To celebrate his victory, we went back inside and settled down for our mighty feast of a lunch.
Close to 1:00, Scorpious' eyes began to droop. Pokey volunteered to take little master to his room, and I accepted. Finally, I could rest, alone. That little rascal has an almost endless amount of energy. I went back to my room to kick back and just read a book, finally doing whatever I want. I picked through the spines of ancient books covered in layers and layers of dust and grim. After a while, I pulled out an interesting book called, "A Thousand Ways To Tame A Dragon." Quite the common book I should say, its title very misleading. Its tale wove about as a young girl who was neglected as a child an made an imaginary friend, a peace dragon. He guided her through life, helping her as much as he could, making her grades beyond anyone else's in magic school, having a lot of friends, having the bright future prepared for her. One day, when she woke up she didn't find her friend waiting for her to awake. As the day went by, she became more and more distraught for she couldn't find her friend anywhere. That is, until the very end of a school day when she saw a boy, two or so years younger than her, walking along, talking with her dragon. She stormed up to him and grabbed the dragon and lead it away, leaving the boy to plead after it. That was where I stopped last. I have been reading it ever since I was a child, for I didn't have the heart to finish it until very recently when I remembered it.
