Astoria's POV
I screamed out in frustration. The evil woman that sat across from me smiled maliciously. The toothpick that stuck out of her mouth swayed back and forth impatiently. Her eyes rolled. "You are completely useless at this game," she stated. As she got up, she laid down four aces, the winning streak.
I cursed under my breath. "You know I hate this game Renee."
"So? I at least expected you to try to win." A silk black jacket pulled over her arms and she pulled up the hood.
"Leaving so soon?"
"Well, I didn't intend on staying here all night trying to convince you. It's just that I have other clients and work to do also, so if you excuse me I -"
I pushed back my rusty chair and walked over to her. Her two enormous guards were, thankfully, on the other side of the room. I was pretty sure they were there just to guard her, not to negotiate. I pushed back her sleek black hair from her ear to whisper, "I will help you but with a price. I want my Draco and my son back. Get rid of that Hermione."
Renee nodded and whispered back, "Well, you have to keep up your end of the deal. Get the key, the red head, and make sure he is alive. If you even dare to screw up this simple task my dear cousin, you will have severe consequences. You believe me?" I gulped and nodded. I hated the dark side of my family. They scared me to death. She hugged me lightly before she opened the door that lead to the outside world. "Renee," I started. She turned back toward me, her dark eyes twinkling as if nothing had just occurred. "Why do you need the power? What do you plan to do with it?" Her eyes darted all over my face, making sure I was just asking sincerely. She smiled. "You need not to worry Astoria. Everything that is in that room won't even make it near you or your family. I promise."
I watched her walk down a couple of streets before she turned out of sight. This shabby cabin on the outskirts of Spinner's End almost resembled the Shrieking Shack. But what it made even more creepier was the fact that the guards where still standing behind me. Why hadn't they followed Renee? They were there to protect her right?
One of them approached me. He had a long scar going down the left side of face. His short buzz cut didn't help conceal it. "Miss Astoria. We were ordered to take you somewhere you can't know about." He pulled out his wand, which looked about as thick as a staff. My jaw dropped. "How come no one told me about this?" But my question wasn't answered. Instead the guard waved his wand and I fell unconscious on the floor.

A throb on the back of my head greeted me when I woke up. In the moment I opened my eyes, all I could hear was the pounding of blood in my ears and a ringing silence. Trying to get my bearings, I tossed my head from side to side. No one was near, or was there at all, so the coast was clear. I sighed loudly as I got to my high heeled feet. I was stranded in what looked a a pretty well sized broom closet. Cleaning objects were strewn in the far left corner and it was only illuminated by a single light bulb. It was dank and had a strange and not so inviting smell. Pretty ironic huh? I search for any way out and found a large metal door behind from where I was standing.
"It's probably locked," I thought to myself. But, I got a different outcome than what I imagined.
Reaching out to knob of the door, I felt a rush of wind pass me and the second I touched the door I recoiled. The door was like dry ice. Even though it was cold, it blistered my skin and stung with no end. When I had touched it, the knob jiggled slightly, letting me know it was actually unlocked. Someone probably jinxed the door to harm whoever who wanted to get in or out. Maybe it was even a precaution, warning me from what was on the other side I realize now, but at the time I was so focused on getting out that that thought never caught my attention. I needed something to shield my hands, but when I looked at myself, I still had on my tight tan dress that I wore when I met with Renee so I didn't have any slack I could use. My eyes swept the room hopelessly until they rested on the cleaning supplies.
