The Other Side Part 2

27.

The next day
I drove to Dominic's house I got out the car and walked back and forth in the drive way trying to think of what to say to Tony. After what felt like days I started to walk to the door before I reached it the door open and Sarah walked out closing it behind her.

"Hey look-"

"What are you doing here?"

"I need to say sorry for what I did yesterday, I feel so horrible."

"He is really upset right now."

"I just need to talk to him." She looked at the ground then back up to me, "Please."

She rolled her eyes and let out a sigh.

"Fine but let me talk to him first."

I nodded and followed behind her to his room. She put her hand up to stop me from walking any further. She knocked on his door and walked in. I used my hearing to listen to what they were talking about.

"Hey Tony pony how you doing?"

"I'm fine."

"You have a visitor."

"But I don't know anyone but you guys."

I took a deep breath and knocked on the door softly stepping in.

"Hey Tony." he looked to me then laid back down facing his back to me.

"I'll be down stairs lunch will be ready soon." Sarah rubbed her hand through his hair and walked back towards me, she grabbed my shirt collar pulling me close to her with her eyes glowing. "Don't fuck up." she mouthed to me and walked out smiling.

I fixed my shirt and walked closer to him.

"Look man I'm really sorry for my stupid actions yesterday." he didn't say anything but look out the window holding tight to his blanket. "I don't know what came over me, I nearly lost everyone that I loved already and I, I just really don't want to lose them again."

He turned around and looked up to me. "I know how you feel."

"Yea but hey maybe we can put this back together I can help I'm good with tools." I said walking over to the table and lifting up the sheet once I did a few parts fell down on the ground. I looked over to Tony and he just laughed.

"No it's okay the project fair was today."

"Oh man look I really am sorry. I didn't mean to just take this all away from you. I can pay for everything you need to make this bigger and better for next year."

"No really it's fine that school was too snobby for me anyways."

"Are you sure?"

"Yea. Did Sarah tell you I got a job at the computer store up the road from where you live?"

"No but that's great man!"

"Thanks I'll be working with the computers and fixing the ones that are broken or have viruses."

"You are good with technology aren't you."

"Yea my dad taught me everything I know." I sat on his desk chair and seen a picture with him and what looked like his family.

"Is this your family?"

"Yea." I looked at the picture seeing him a little girl and his parents on a family vacation.

"What's your sister's name?"

"Sonia." I put the picture back and stood up walking to him.

"I'm still very sorry about this and I hope that this doesn't become between us."

"Don't worry man I forgive you." he stood up and gave him a hug.

"Now come on let's go see what Sarah cooked." we walked down and was messing with each other laughing all the way to the kitchen.

"I hear laughing that's a good sign!" Sarah said once we walked in.

"Whatever I know you listened in on the whole conversation anyways."

"What I did no such thing!" Me and Tony looked at her knowing she was lying. "Okay maybe I did but still just wanted to make sure that I didn't have to kick your ass when you came down." we laughed as she set us our plates in front of us and we began to eat.

After we ate I went back home and laid out on the couch feeling all nice and full. It was quiet in the house since Melanie was at her parents with the kids. I sat there in silence thinking to my self, I soon feel asleep.

"Daddy!" I woke up hearing the kids running to me and giggling.

"Oh hey babies." I sat up rubbing my eyes and kissing them. They then ran off with G.

"Hey no running in the kitchen!" Melanie screamed as she came and sat by me. "So?"

"So what?"

"How did talking to Tony go?"

"I said sorry."

"That's it?"

"And we talked."

"About?"

"Stuff Mel, why does it matter we are good now."

"As long as you guys are okay then okay."

My phone then vibrated and so did Melanie's. We both looked at it and it was a text message from Dominic,

"It's an emergency come quick!"

I looked to Melanie, "you got the same text?"

"Yea."

"Stay here with the kids!" I quickly got up looking for my keys

"No I'll take them back to my mom's I'm not letting you go alone."

"Fine but hurry get them in the car."

We ran to the car and dropped them off and drove as fast as we could to their house. Once parked we ran inside. We ran to the living room and seen them all there laughing and watching tv.

"Guys what's going on!"

"What?" Dominic said still looking at the tv.

"Me and Bruno got a text from you saying you needed us and it was an emergency?"

"My phone?" Dominic reached in his pocket and looked in his phone. "I dont have a text sent to you guys?" 

I then started to get a bad feeling. "Where's Tony?" Sarah got scared and we both ran to the stairs. As we reached it a small object came rolling down the stairs with a red light flashing and beeping noise. I quickly grabbed Sarah pushing her the the side. "Everyone get down!"

A loud explosion went off making our ears ring and then smoke filled the air but it wasn't just smoke it was wolfsbane.

We all began gasping for air. My ears were still ringing and my vision now blurry. I looked around trying to find Melanie but my vision wasn't clear.

I looked to the stairs and seen a fingure walk down it was dressed with a black hoodie, gas mask on and a metal baseball ball in its hand. It looked around and looked at me, I coughed trying to breath. It kicked my side making me turn over to my back. It grabbed it's mask and took it off and then looked down to me. My vision began to clear up a little, I couldn't believe who was behind the mask.

"T-tony?" I said grasping my words.

"I'm so sorry Bruno." He raised the bat up and hit me in the head. My vision was slowly becoming black. I felt him grab my legs and pulled me to the front door.

As he was I seen Melanie she looked over to me to reach for me but she was too weak.

"Peter!"

"M-Melanie..."

Everything soon became black.
