"Help me...h-help me," the dying woman rasps. She was bitten by a walker, nothing could help her now.
"Nothing can help you now," i repeat as i lodge my hunting dagger into her skull.
Her eyes roll back into her bloodied head and she falls limp. I yank the dagger out and wipe the blood on my already bloody sleeve. I kick her limp body out of my path and walk on with my gun in the waistband of my jeans and my dagger in my hand. My eyes scan the dark forest, looking for something to kill. "Once you start, you can't stop" my dad used to say when he taught me how to kill. That was almost 2 years ago. They're all dead now; wandering around biting the last remaining survivors.
I seem to have gotten lost in thought because when my eyes refocus, I see a perfect little country farmhouse surrounded by a tall white wooden fence.
"I must be dreaming," i mutter to myself when i see a plump cow grazing by the house.
My mouth waters as i think about the delicious meat in my mouth. I climb the closest oak tree and hop over the fence quietly, so i won't scare the grazing cow. I round the corner of the house and raise my dagger to kill my next meal.
"Put the dagger down, NOW." a deep voice says from behind me as i hear the sound of a shotgun safety turning off.
I turn around slowly with my hands up in defense.
"Don't shoot," i say as calmly as i can when i come face to face with the hottest guy i've ever seen; his emerald eyes full of anger and hatred and he had a Double Barrel shotgun aimed at my head.
"Why shouldn't I, thief?" he snarls.
"Maybe because that gun isn't loaded?" i smirk.
His eyes widen slightly and he lowers the gun.
"Gun expert..huh?" his eyes narrow and he grabs my arm forcefully,"you're coming with me, darlin'."
"LET GO OF ME DOUCHE-BAG," i scream at the top of my lungs.
But he just clamps his hand over my mouth and pulls me roughly towards the open door. As we're almost through the door, I bite down on his index finger as hard as i can and he yelps in pain as he pulls away his bloodied hand.
"SHIT!" he shouts as he nurses his injured hand, "DO YOU WANT ME TO KILL YOU?!" I back away slowly, reaching for one of my guns. "Oh no you don't." he says venomously as he grabs my waist, pulling me against him. He looks down at me and his eyes widen a bit, "Your eyes-..." he starts, but i cut him off by glaring at him and saying, "are really blue. i know."
He begins to lean towards me and his eyes slowly close. My eyes widen but flutter closed quickly. Before i can even lean forward, i feel a tug on my waist and i'm suddenly yanked forward with such force i slam against the still unnamed guy. He grabs my wrists and pulls then behind my back.
"Gotcha," he says amused.
My face heats up and i struggle against the newly tied ropes around my wrists. I roll my eyes and let him pull me into the dark house.
Hey Guys! this is my first book. Please excuse the horrible grammar. And i'm really excited about it! Hope y'all enjoy c;
