"My feet hurt." Laken complains for the twentieth time in the past hour.
"Shut the hell up, Laken." Conner snaps, me and Carl nodding in agreement.
Laken stays silent for the next half hour, than starts complaining once again.
We all decide to ignore her for the time being. We keep walking for the next few hours in silence. I decide to break the silence by talking to Conner.
"Maybe we should set up camp for tonight. Since everyone needs a break." I say, looking up at Conner for guidance. He slowly nods his head in agreement and we all immediately start searching for a good place to set up camp.
~After they find a camp place~
My impression of Conner has changed in the past day and a half i've known him. I can't seem to get him off my mind. Conner , Conner, Conner. That's the only thing that has been running through my mind since i met him. His eyes, his lips, his height, his HAIR. Oh my God he's perfect. He must think i'm fucking crazy right now because i'm basically drooling over him right now. I'm so insane if i think he likes me in that way. I mean i've known him for almost 2 days. Is that long enough for someone to start liking someone else? Well duh because i like him, but that doesn't mean he likes me. Oh God. He just caught me starring at him. LOOK AWAY. LOOK AWAY.
"Can I help you with something Lainey?" He says, bringing me out of my trance-like state.
GOD DAMMIT I GOT LOST IN HIS EYES. Curse him and his dreamy eyes. Why do they have to remind me of chocolate? Why can't it remind me of shit? Or puke? They HAD to remind me of my favorite fucking dessert on this earth. THAT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST ANYMORE! Fucking disease had to fucking destroy fucking chocolate. Fucking walkers. Wait, did he say something? WHAT DID HE SAY!? I DIDN'T HEAR WHAT HE SAID!
"Hmm? What was that? I ask inconspicuously, refocusing my eyes onto him.
"I asked what you were thinking about." He states casually.
"Oh. Just how much I miss chocolate. And cursing all the scientists who fucked our lives up." I say shrugging slowly.
"Chocolate? What made you think about that?" He asks, clearly suspicious.
I felt my heart crashing against my chest as i groped for an answer,"EVERYTHING! Who doesn't think about chocolate everyday?" I asked, nervously laughing.
"Well okay then.." He says, turning his back to me and heading to his spot in camp.
I mentally slap my forehead. How can i be so stupid? Why do guys have to make me so nervous? God dammit.
"LAINEYYY." I hear Laken yell.
I realize that i went into another trance thinking about him and I didn't hear Laken say my name the 5 times before. I could literally smell her stanky breath from miles away. But since her face is inches from mine, it's like i've been dumped into a trash can and shit on. (A/N: I'm really sorry Laken)
"WHAT?" I practically scream back, trying not to inhale the shitty smell.
"You're on night watch tonight." She replies lazily.
"You mean staying up all night just to make sure y'alls pretty little faces don't get eaten?" I remark.
"Yeah! Something like that." She says over enthusiastically.
I groan and throw a rock at her, but unfortunately she dodges it and walks away before i have another chance to take her eye out.
"Get ready for night watch, Lainey." I hear Conner say as he ties Carl up to another tree.
I roll my eyes and frown, "Fuck thiss."
But I settle on a tree stump anyways just as the sun sets, because nothing can happen to Conner's precious hair while i'm around.
HEY GUYS!!!
I really hope you enjoyed this chapter, I'm writing it at 2:12 in the morning just for you guys.
