Kate's POV
"Hey umm Fernando?" I call out as I enter the bachelor pad. I had knocked but there was no reply, so i decided to enter.
"Oh, hi Kate." I hear Fernando reply, walking out of the kitchen.
"So, I came up here to ask if you knew where Teddy worked?" I walk into the centre of the room
"Teddy? Yeah I know." Fernando said with a smile, "It's Anteiku, not far from here."
"Great, thanks." I say nodding.
"Hey, if you don't mind me asking why did you want to know?" Fernando pushed his glasses further up his face, leaning against the door frame.
"Oh, I asked her out for coffee. But I sorta don't have her number so I thought I'd meet her at work." I shrug.
"Huhmm." Fernando ran a hand along his stubble, then stood up straight. "Why did you ask me?" He says abruptly.
"Cause I knew Jack and Oliver would be at work." Fernando just nods. The room goes silent for awhile.
"Well, thanks Fernando but I'm going to go."
"Oh yeah, sure. I have an order to finish anyways."
"An order? I didn't know you worked?"
"Oh. Well... Nevermind..." He flashed a smile of his white teeth with a small shrug. I just nodded then turned for the door.
"Umm, Kate. I don't think she's into girls." Fernando stated, and I quickly turned around. He was now within a meter from me. That made me jump slightly.
"What?!" I say surprised.
"I just don't want you falling for a straight girl." He flashes his white teeth again.
"I'm not falling for anyone." I say defensively.
"Huhmmm. Just I think there is a more obvious better option for you than Teddy."
"What are you on about Fernando?" I ask confused.
"Oh I think it'll all come to light pretty soon." He shrugged, "see you soon Kate." He says then turns heading back to the kitchen.

The bell chimed above me as I enter. Pale walls welcomed me. Slowly, I walked towards dark brown counter. A large fan, situated directly above my head. A woman with purple hair smiled at me.
"What can I get you?" She asked.
"Oh umm, could I have a coffee latte."
"Yep sure." She tapped on the till, "That's two fifty." I nod pulling out my cash from my pocket. Quickly, I find the correct amount then pass her it. She then passed me an order number saying,"Someone will bring it to you in a moment. Take a seat."
I turn and head to one of the circle oak tables. Taking a seat, I glance about the half fill cafe. That's when I spy Teddy. She's heading back to the counter. I smile, taking in her appearance. She was cute. I watch her pick up a cup from behind the counter. That's when she turned and saw me. She froze and I stop my starring.
I glance down at my table, nervously fiddling my thumbs. "Order 52?" I hear Teddy's voice and look up to see she's next to my table. I just nod my head to her question, remembering that 52 was in fact my order number.
She places down the cup, with a smile. "Don't worry, I get off in ten." She says quickly before turning and heading to clean a table.
I sip my drink with a sigh. She was one weird, complicated story. Did I really want to get to know her?

"Hey." Teddy says, taking a seat.
"Hello." I say back, sipping the last of my coffee.
"So.." Teddy said nervously, pulling her jacket tighter around her to hide her uniform.
"Right. So, basically at the party, when I think you where drunk, you started talking to me quite a lot." I sensed Teddy tense and continued quickly, "You where talking to me about Oliver. We both shared our opinions on our brothers."
I hear Teddy sigh, watching her shoulders relax.
"Yeah I don't remember." She said shrugging.
"That's why I don't drink." I said jokingly, but Teddy didn't laugh. "So anyways, you did ask me to update you on Jordan. You wanted to know when he did anything stupid."
Teddy just nods, leaning back in her chair.
"Well he trashed our apartment."
With that Teddy's eyes went wide, "Wow." She said simply and I nod.
"He broke two tables, and I caught him just in time before her broke the tv."
"Well shit." Teddy says, a little monotone.
"I love Jordan and all but sometimes he goes too far. This time was partly my fault. I've been too confining plus Jack also said something really cruel."
"What did Jack say?" Teddy asks, fiddling with her jacket pocket.
"He said they where just friends but also that Jordan meant nothing to him. That set Jordan into an emotional mess. But I've not really been helping matters I've not been letting him do what he wants. I saw them too at the party, they clearly have feelings for each other but I keep holding him back."
"Huhmm." Teddy nods.
"So, I've gave him freedom and he's using that to organise Zoe's birthday."
"Zoe's birthday?" Teddy lifted up her head, tilting it slightly, confused.
"Yeah, her and Courtney are very close in age."
"Ah, I see."
"I'm sure you're invited. Jordan's going full out. You should defiantly come, I think he needs a DJ."
"Oh sure." Teddy smiles slightly.
"So, at the party you mentioned your brother a lot. Well and with the fact he and Zoe kissed you got yourself into a confused state."
Teddy froze. Slowly, she took a deep breath.
"I forgot that happened." She whispered.
"What?" I ask, and she slowly lifted up my head.
"It was my fault. He'd not be in problems right now if I'd not done that dare."
"Wait hang on. You didn't know they'd ended up kissing." I lean on my arm, propping my head.
"But, I gave them the opportunity. My brothers stupid, he probably read the signals wrong."
"Oh I don't know about that, it looked quite heated."
"But I think that-" Teddy frowned,"Oh never mind. Just I know Zoe doesn't like him."
"How could you be certain?" I ask, lifting an eyebrow.
"I just have a feeling. Plus, Fernando has the same feeling and he has like psychic powers."
"Right." I just nod, twiddling my cup.
"Then there also the fact my brother likes someone else." Teddy says clicking her tongue.
"Wait what, who?"
"Now that I can not say." Teddy says sternly, "But I really think he's lost his chance unless something gets said at Zoe's party. If Fernando's prediction becomes true."
"What?" I ask confused.
"You'll understand, if it comes true."
"Right." I just nod,"So you'll come to the party?"
"Sure." Teddy says with a nod.
"Good. I'd love to see you there."
"You will do, I'll bring my kit and play the tunes." Teddy smiles, she really does enjoying being DJ.
"Great." I glance about the room, finding a clock, "oh wow. I got to go, got to go to a script read."
"Script read?" Teddy asks then she shakes her head," Oh yeah you're on SNL." I just nod, getting out my seat.
"I'll see you at the party." I say quickly, waving goodbye.
