When Everything Collided (On Hold)

Disbelief

Kate's POV
"Are you Kate McKinnon?" A Doctor asked.
"Yes." I say sharply back.
"We have an update on Jordan." I nodded eager for him to continue. "Could you just come with me." He said and I nod, getting out of my seat. Glancing back at Teddy, Zoe and Bailey who all had insisted on coming with me.
I followed the Doctor into an office. "So, he has suffered extreme side affects from having an extensive amount of drugs. Which we have come to identify as weed. We have had to notify the police of this." I gulp, worried, "He is now awake, a little confused but you'll be allowed to see him shortly. The police want an interview first." I nod.
"I'll send the officers in, take a seat." The doctor says, heading out of the room.
I take a seat, then the door opens.
"Hello, Miss McKinnon." The female officer says. A male officer smiles at me. "We have some questions for you and then you'll be free to go." I nod.
"So first," the male officer opened his note book,"How did Jordan get into procession of the drugs?" The female officer asks.
"He are a basket of brownies and then I found him passed out." I say, both officers nod.
"Where did these brownies come from?" She asks and I frown.
"I ordered them from a friend." I say, shaking my head in my own dismay.
"Did you know that the brownies contained weed?" She asks.
"I had no idea." I reply honestly.
"Do you have a name for the friend you order the brownies from?" I gulped, nodding my head. "Could you please tell us their name?"
"I-its" I grit my teeth, holding back tears. Tears of distraught and guilt. "Fernando." I whisper, hating the situation I was in,
"Thank you." The female officer says, nodding at her partner, "you may leave."

I walk back to the waiting room, wiping away my tears. My group of friends come dashing over to me.
"Kate!" Bailey says cheerful, then she frowns.
"Kate what's wrong?" Zoe says, looking at me concerned.
I sniffle, "I got interviewed by the police." I whisper.
"Oh." Teddy says as Zoe pulls me into a hug.
"Come on, don't cry. You're not in the wrong." Bailey says, giving a dirty look at Teddy.
I shake my head, "I ordered them." I say pushing away from the hug.
"But you didn't know!" Zoe says sternly, "You had no idea, you thought they where harmless brownies." She too gives a disgusted look at Teddy. Now Teddy speaks, "What did the officers ask?"
"They wanted a name." I wipe away another tear.
"Did you give them one?" Teddy asks. I just nod. "Who did you say?" Teddy adds.
"I s-said F-Fernando." I whimper, more tears falling down my cheeks.
"Fuck." Teddy blurts out, before turning and running away.
"What the hell was that?" Bailey says, shaking her head in disbelief.
"I didn't know what to do." I say shaking. Tears turning into sobs.
"Kate, its fine." Zoe says, bringing her own hands to my cheeks wiping away the flow of tears.
"Come on, did you get any good news?" Bailey asks, trying to change the topic.
"I- I... we can go see him." I say breathing heavy.
"Come on then, it'll make you feel better." Bailey says, heading down a corridor. Zoe still stood there, her thumbs wiping away tears. Her eyes intensely staring at me, then she caught my own stare back. Quickly she moved away.
"Come on Kate, what room is he in?" Zoe says, looking down, trying to hide her blush.
"Oh umm... I'll show you." I say, turning and heading down the corridor Bailey had disappeared down.
