Party Toast

Zoe's POV
"Well shit!" I curse as I recover from my heart attack.
"What no thank you or anything?" Jordan calls out walking over to me, everyone else laughing.
"No joke dude, I had no fucking idea."
"Yes!" Jordan shouted raising his arms in victory.
"Thank you so so much. This is AMAZING!" I bring Jordan in for an akward hug but we just break apart laughing.
"Come on drinks!" Jordan called. The music kicked in as he dragged me over to the drink table. "I'll make you a birthday girl special." With that he grabs the largest cup on pours a bit of everything in it. I pull a face of disgust as he hands me it.
"Come on Zoe, live life on the edge!" He shoves my hand closer to my mouth.
"If this kills me, it's your fault!" I mumble, taking a ship. Swallowing then coughing. "My god that burns." I cry and Jordan smiles wider.
"Drink it all or I'll kick you out." He points his fingers accusingly.
"Kick me out of my own party?"
"Yep." He says then jogs off to the dance floor. I roll my eyes, walking over to the sofa. Sitting down next to Fernando.
"Cheese platter!" I hear Kate call and instantly start giggling. Kate appears from behind me, shoving the platter in Fernando's face.
"What the hell, is it with you and cheese platters?" He asks shoving it away from him.
"Oh, hunny the fun only starts when I get a cheese platter." She shoves it closer to Fernando's face.
"Get IT away from me." He pleas.
"But I though you agreed with me? I thought you shared my love for the cheese platter?"
"No, I don't." Fernando cries shoving hard on the platter, causing Kate to move it away.
"Say that to your drunk self." She mumbles before turning to wink at me.
"Happy Birthday Zoe!" She shouts," I got you a present." She says with a smile,"I'll bring it over for you." She then walks off, cheese platter in hands.
"What the hell is this joke of me and a cheese platter?"
"Oh Fernando!" I laugh, he just glares at me,"It's a secret." I whisper before breaking out in more laughs.
"Good friends don't keep secrets!" He frowns.
"Trust me I think you don't want to know."
"Why?"
"It's embarrassing ."
"Embarrassing for me?" He questions and I just nod,"I have done a range of embarrassing things, so I think you should tell me."
"Hmmm..." I think it over, "only if you promise to eat the entirety of that cheese platter afterwards."
Fernando's eyebrows raise in confinement but then he shrugs,"Easy."
"Okay, well..." I giggle,"You sort of-" I was cut off by Jordan pulling me off the sofa. Nearly spilling my drink.
"Your not staying sat down for the whole part!" He shouts, "Now down your bloody drink so we can dance."
I look at the cup then back at Jordan. Worry over taking me.
"Down it!" He shouts. I gulp. "Down it, down!" He begins to chant. Oliver soon joining in. Then Jack, Fernando. Even Teddy turned down the music, slightly.
"Oh for fu-" Jordan shoved the cup up to my mouth. I roll my eyes and drink it. Downing it in one.
"Yes!" A cheer goes up and I feel the growing burn in my throat.
"Teddy some dancing tunes please?!" Jordan shouts out and instantly the music is changed. Jordan busting out his moves.
"Jordan I'm not the one for dancing!" I say and he stops.
"Teddy we need the best dancing song!" And then my favourite song begins to play. I look at Jordan's smirk and glare at him.
"Come on Zoe, you know you have to!" He begins to dance and I just take an deep breath. Slowly, joining him.
"When it feels like the world is on your shoulders, and all of the madness has got you going crazy, it's time to get out, step out into the street. Where all of your action is right there at your feet. Well I know a place where we can dance the whole night away. Underneath electric stars, just come with me and we can shake your blues right away. You'll be doing fine once the music starts." I sing while dancing around then some grabs my wrist.
"Sorry to de-barge in." Kate says and I laugh. "Just I got your present."
We walk off to the side of the room and Kate passes me the small perfectly rapped present. "Thanks Kate, you didn't have to."
"Oh stop it, you say that every year." Kate says crossing her arms.
"Only because you say the exact same thing to me every year on your birthday." I raise my eyebrow at her and she sighs.
"But that's different..."
"Huhmm." I say sassily, Kate rolls her eyes.
"Oh just open it." She says demandingly.
"Fine," I say tearing carefully at the paper, revealing a blue box. I remove the paper and open it. Inside is a ring and necklace. "Oh my god, they're beautiful." I saw my jaw dropping wide,"Thank you so so so much!" I say, pulling her into a hug. She hugs back. I smile. "You're welcome." Kate says, her warm breath brushing the back of my neck. I shiver and instantly pull away. Now nervous. No, need to be making things a mess tonight! I mentally screamed at myself, silent I got my emotions. "You should put them on, you'll go great with your dress." I gulp, no please Kate don't compliment me. I just nod, slowly removing both from the box. Slipping the ring on. Realising it didn't fit on any of my fingers.
"Try your thumb." Kate states and I do and it fits perfectly. Then I reach up with the necklace in my hands. Trying to hook it, failing.
"Let me help." Kate then moves to behind me, taking the necklace from my hands. Her fingers brushing mine, I blush. Thank lord she was now behind me and couldn't see. "All done." She chirps and I turn to her.
"Thank you." I say smiling at her and she gives me a wink.
"Anything for you." She says jokingly. But I just feel the blood rush from my face and butterflies dance in my stomach.
"I think I need another drink." I state, quickly walking away.

After a long row of drinks later, I'm sat on the sofa. A drunk Jordan to my left and a strangely drunk Kate to my right. Oliver and Bailey had disappeared and Teddy had given up playing songs. Now sat a distance away, leaning against the wall. A large drink in her hand. Jack, Fernando and Farkle where sat on the floor sharing the cheese platter.
"You know this party was and is great!" I say and Jordan smiles wide.
"I think we all needed it." Jordan says, "It brought us back together again!" He cheers and then picks up his glass,"But most of all me and my sister. So I must toast." Kate picks up her drink, mine already in my hand. "To blood gays!" He shouts and Kate instantly taps there glass together. Then without thinking I do the same.
"Zoe?" Jordan ask as I drop my cup in realisation. "Why did you join the toast?"
