I got out of bed, and hopped into the shower. I washed my body, observing my bruised arms and legs. I carefully ran the rag over my legs. I winced at the contact.
I rinsed my body and got out of the shower, careful not to slip on the tiled floor. I wrapped a towel around my body. I opened the door, the cold air hitting my body. I walked to my closet, and looked for a nice outfit since today I'm meeting the family that wants to adopt me.
I scanned the closet. I spotted an outfit my mother bought me last month for my birthday. It was a nice yellow dress with a thin black belt around the waist.
I slipped the dress on and put some socks on, with my black converse. I walked out of my room and walked down stairs.
Louis was sitting on the sofa, with a pile of papers and folders sitting on the coffee table.
"Hey Tessa. Are you ready to meet them?" He asked.
"Yeah. I think so." I replied feeling nervous.
"They'll be here in an hour." Louis said. He got up and picked up the papers and took them to his office.
Niall came walking down the stairs. He gave me a small smile. I gave him a smile in return.
"Are you nervous?" He asked.
"Yeah, just a bit." I replied.
"Okay guys, are you ready?" Louis said as he walked back into the room. "They just called and said their coming early."
I craned my neck to look at Niall, before I returned my attention back to Louis. "Yeah." I answered.
After waiting five minutes there was a knock on the door.
