CHAPTER 7

            [Harry’s POV]

It’s been 3 days ever since that photo-shoot. 3 days since my whole privacy was invaded. I didn't want to leave my hotel room at all, but we were heading back home in 4 days. No matter where I go, people will talk. People already hate us, now they have another excuse to say bad things. I already know how our haters get. They are cruel and hurtful.

I was sitting on the couch just staring at the TV. It was on, but I wasn't watching it. The other boys had gone to the store for medicine for Zayn, except for Zayn himself. He was still sleeping. He must have a cold of some sort.

My mind was still blank. This was never going to go away. It will be on the internet forever. I guess I will get over it sometime. I just can’t get over the fact that one of our fans did this.

I got a call on Thursday, the day after the photo-shoot, from Simon. He explained that an older fan had snuck into the studio, stole one of the crew member’s badges, and took the pictures. They reported her and made her delete the pictures from her phone. It still didn't make it go away.

I know that I’m acting childish and whiny right now. I just like my privacy. Oh well. The media was bound to destroy us sometime I suppose.

I snapped out of my trance because I heard distant coughing. Sounds like he was awake. I stood and went over to Zayn’s room, which he shared with Liam. Niall had the only single room.

When I opened the door, I rushed over to Zayn’s side because he was leaned over the edge of the bed trying to grab the remote off the floor. I lifted him back into bed and he began coughing again. He sure looked ill. His eyes were a bit red, his nose was stuffy, and his throat was very hoarse.

I handed him the remote. “Thanks Harry,” he whispered. I smiled and kissed his forehead.

“You still feel icky?” I asked, placing a hand to his temple and cheek. He was burning up

He nodded. He had another coughing fit and he pointed towards the napkin on the nightstand. I immediately handed it to him, to which he coughed inside of it. When he was done, he started whimpering.

“I hate this feeling, Harry. It hurts,” he explained, placing a hand on his throat. “It hurts to swallow. And I have no appetite.” His eyes were watery. I frowned and wrapped my arms around him.

“You’re going to catch it, Harry. Go.” He tried pushing me off, but, since he was ill, I was stronger. Besides, I had a VERY strong immune system.

“I don’t care. You’re my best mate. We’ll be sick together. We can even drink tea together and eat chicken soup in the same bed.” I chuckled, making him smile.

“Thank you,” he mumbled into my shirt.

I rocked him a bit, until the door opened and Liam came in with a shopping bag. He smiled at us and pulled out a box of orange tea and a bottle of cough medicine.

“Want me to take it from here?” Liam asked, noticing that Zayn was clinging to me. I tried to stand so that Liam could take my place. After all, he was better at this nurturing thing than I was. However, Zayn didn't want me to leave. He grumbled and yanked me back, making Liam and I laugh.

“Alright,” Liam surrendered. “Harry, just give him this,” he handed me the medicine. “I’ll go make some tea for all of us.”
